Suncoast casino

Staying there for the first time Labor day weekend. Mixed results playing video poker, had breakfast buffet once.Hoping for some input on any of the restaurants, or gambling experience. I know Red Rock is nearby and will be going there too

We stay at Suncoast 3x a year 6 days a stay.  Rooms are large with a frig, floor to ceiling windows and central air.  Ask for a gulf course/pool view.  Pool is situated so sun is on it when it opens at 7.  Bowling, movies, exercise room etc.  Showroom is usually used for tribute bands, but Sa/Su usually has 60's/70's and 80's bands for free.  Some good food options.  SC Prime steakhouse is the best.  Last 2 months its had there prime rib dinner for $25, large portion.  Ninety 90 is right below SC Prime and is very good and busy.  We enjoy The Game which is a sport bar with tv's everywhere and good food. They have a Italian and chinese restuarant that I haven't tried.  Buffet is ok for free which you'll get m-f when you earn 20 tier credits. Breakfast and lunch. I forgot Dupars which is great with the best pancakes you'll find.  Excellent food, large portions.

VP is mainly NSUD for dueces which we play but we play mainly nickels and sometimes quarters and also slots.

We normally have enough food credit on our offers but any time we've gone over hosts have taken care of it. They normally have 2-3 days a week with 11x, but be sure to activated on kiosk. Hope this helps as we really like it there.

Haven't been in there since the matchplays disappeared (8 years ago maybe).   back then it was pretty much an exact replica of Gold Coast - which isn't a bad thing.

Nowadays when it comes to playing at the locals' joints  I tend to prefer the Stations properties.  I find them to be a little less grungey...and you comp points dont expire as quickly.

I told girlfriend it's like a nicer version of Gold Coast

I've always thought it was just a smaller version of SouthPoint.  Michael Gaughn was the former owner of Coast casinos and he built Suncoast to be the upscale Coast casino.  When he sold out to Boyd he had built Southpoint and taken the look of Suncoast and the rooms are exact with the look and bathroom two sink and seperate shower/tub toilet for the bathrooms.  What he did then was take the best of Orleans and added that to the Suncoast look to make a resort as strong as Orleans.  Anyway its a nice property in a very nice area.

I just stayed there a couple of weeks ago on a comped night. Room was lovely with a golf course view. If I golfed, I'd haunt the place all of the time. The room I had was 550 square feet, compared to the room at the Orleans (450) and Gold Coast (350), where I also stayed this trip.

Buffet was okay -- I prefer the Orleans slightly. There's a movie theater. The casino isn't huge. They were sticklers about check-in time, which wasn't the case at Orleans or Gold Coast. I suspect the personnel all around are more experienced/polished than their Orleans or Gold Coast or Main Street counterparts.

I like the place as a break from the strip. And as I said, if I golfed, excellent hangout.

Had a nice stay there.Game of choice is 8/5 Bonus Poker.Had to walk the floor to find them as there's plenty of 7/5.Had a meat pizza at 90 bar during evening reverse happy hour, food came out fast and was good. They also had three different tap beers from Main Street Station on special that night.Breakfest buffet had all the usual stuff, plus a Mexican station.Great view from the room of golf coarse, mountains, and swim pool area. Was funny in the evening the geese come in and invade the golf coarse while the golfers are still. playing.

Glad you enjoyed, we were there a week ago for 5 nites and I couldn’t believe people were golfing when it was 108.

ThanksJokare . We did the hot tub and swim pool one night. Was surprised that when you walk in on one side of the pool it's three feet deep, go out to the middle and it only goes to four feet deep
