Suncoast...Deluxe room vs. Premium room?

Since the shutters at MSS/The Cal dont close, I've decided to double book at the Suncoast. The comp offer comes with choice of Deluxe or Premium rooms with/without Golf view. I have never stayed but enjoyed my last visit there with my girl. Apparently they, Suncoast, enjoyed me and my girls business since they offered her 2 nights comp also.

Locking down rooms and tickets so I thought I'd ask my LVA family for some advice on Suncoast rooms.

Thanks in advance!!!!

We reserved the premium room last time, just to see what it was. It was the same as the regular room.

The only difference we could see is that it was directly over the pool.

We love the golf course view. We have binoculars to watch the rabbits silflaying on the fairway in the early morning. A special experience at the Suncoast.

We also tried the happy hour at the steakhouse. Wonderful, but warning - the drinks are strong - and large.

Thanks for the quick feedback Tony. What, if any, other hotel rooms would you compare the Suncoast premium room to?

Happy hour sounds like a "must do" while there!!!
I would compare any Suncoast room to Sunset Station, but the Suncoast rooms are quite a bit larger, and have that nice golf view.

Coffee shop is good (depends on what you order). Steak house didn't thrill us on two visits. The third visit, for happy hour only, was nice. Buffet..... meh.

We like the video poker for 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe and Bonus Deuces. That is why we go. Some good progressives. Good kioske deals, like a free meal.

Emerald status and 20+ year history with other Boyd properties seem to get us nothing special at the Suncoast.

Overall, not our favorite place. About 6th or 7th on the list, I think.

If you've been to South Point you'll feel at home at Suncoast. Nice large rooms, frig, flat screen tv, wash up area seperate from the toilet, NO window air conditioner. We always take the golf view/pool view. Actually we like the buffet-easy to get with 300 points for a lunch buffet.
It appears that the same architects who designed Suncoast replicated their design for South Point including the walk across the casino floor from front desk to room elevators. I also enjoy the golf course view - I think you can see the Strip from rooms on the other side but it's so far away that it may as well be a mirage. No, not THE Mirage.
I used to get better room deals (free with some fp) but as I've increased my vp play, my deals aren't as good (one night free, add'l nite at $39, no fp). Of course, I've been winning a bit there so maybe that's why.
I don't think the pool view is worth it - it's not exactly supermodel territory.

Wow..a hotel that gives me a better comp (2 free nights) than fredo!

I gotta give them a try!

And that's why you're the Champ and I'm looking up at ya!

My man!
We enjoy Suncoast rooms because they are large and have floor to ceiling windows. Better to see the golf course bunnies eat.
