Suncoast vs. other Boyd properties

Tony, I don't usually play deuces, and I haven't been to the Suncoast in a few weeks, so I can't recall what the paytables are on the machines at the sports bar. I do remember being told some time ago, though, that the deuces game on them is NSUD. The other games on those machines are good paytables (not 100%, but the next best thing).

I also remember back when Suncoast took out all their FPDW and replaced them with NSUD.

We're Orleans faithful 3-4 times a year for the last 9 years but need to save our next 5 free nites for Aug with my in-laws, so SunCoast sent us 4 free nites and we're going to try them.

Uh, wrong. Boyd's built South Point (Known as South Coast when built). Michael Gaughn only purchased it.
Yes, Boyd built the Southpoint. When it first opened, it was the South Coast, and the GM at MSS told me "it looks just like the Suncoast."
South Point is larger version of Sun Coast in my opiion.

Cute kid.

BTW JOKARE waiting for your trip report!!!!!!
Well I don't know if you've ever stayed at Suncoast, but of the Boyd properties in Vegas the rooms are the best as Eurotraveler said. Room is 100" larger then Orleans with a sectioned off sitting sofa and table and chairs. Large flat screen on the wall easily visible from the sofa or bed. Rooms come with a safe and frig. Bathroom has the sectioned off toilet/tub area with the sliding door that the Orleans took out. A nice surprise was the air conditioner was not in the window and very quite. USA today at your door every morning. Fantastic view of the pool and golf course. We only ate at the coffee shop-which has a very good 24 hour Dueces Wild breakfast special, and had lunch buffet once. Buffet very similar to Orleans just smaller. Good meal and good desserts. Wife enjoyed the pool-very quite, not many kids. Casino is a good size for 2 days, but we prefer the larger Orleans for a longer stay. We satyed there 2 2-day stays during our week in Vegas. We were able to use multiple point days on all days 9x and 10x points with all the specials going on and also the Coast insert in the paper. This and Alliante will definetlyl replace Sams
for back-up to the Orleans for us.
Quickly on Alliante, we also enjoyed, very quite also, dark casino but large with a very good assortment of vp and slots. Room is kind of small, with no tub but still very cozy and for us more enjoyable the RR and GVR. Very modern and very friendly-hotel wasn't very busy when we were there. Pool is the same as GVR which my wife loves. Buffet was the same as RR with no lines at all. Again we liked both places alot with a slight edge to Suncoast because of the larger room. Forgot to add, no free wifi at Suncoast, but is free in room and pool at Alliante. You can't go wromg with either place.
Some of the rooms at Aliante do have a tub, some don't.
We actually prefer the ones without the tub as the shower seems to be bigger.
Then again, one time we got no tub and a small shower.
Hard to say what the standard room is there.
Shower was very large which I like but the wife loves the tubs. I'll have to ask next time, since we're comped anyways it shouldn't matter.
Thanks for the trip report Jokare. I keep starinmg at this 1 night comped offer from Suncoast ( IN MY B CONNECTED). Looks like it might be worth a look-see! And then do my 3 free at Aliante!
Go for it you'll like both. For Suncoast book online and take the golf view. I did have a small food bill of $10-$15 and when we checked out I asked if a host was around. Never got to speak to the host as the person at desk called her and got the ok to take off the charge. Also if your there on senior day-if you are-besides the 9x or 10x your points, when you earn 300 points go to the kiosk and it'll print off either a $5 off coupon for the coffee shop or a free breakfast or lunch buffet. Sorry about forgetting to post the info.
