tAny Silverton rooms better than others

Will be there 4 nights in Feb. Can anyone who has stayed there tell me if one floor or room type is more desirable? Any recent room renovations? I realize this isn't Encore but would like the best of what is available. Thanks to all in advance.
I'm either in a minority here, or I've been very lucky or both.

We like the rooms at Silverton.....nothing special, but everything we require. Some here say the bathrooms are too small. Never really noticed that. Some say you should request top floor as they hear noise from above. Never noticed that either. And some say the walls are thin.....again, never bothered us.

So I guess that if you're a light sleeper, I'd go for something on the 4th floor.

Good luck, and please post your thoughts on your return.
Try and get one where they make the bed.

One person has a bad experience and you're going to focus on that? How about the 30+ times I've stayed there and NEVER had that happen -- that means nothing?

Stuff happens. I've been to plenty of places much nicer than Silverton that have failed on the housekeeping front on more than one occasion. Let's be realistic.

The Silverton is nice and they try hard. Beds and pillows are comfortable, more comfortable than many of the top of the line places. I like the top floor because I am a light sleeper and hate the noise from above.
It is also easy to get in and out of the hotel and get to your car if you like to move around--unlike any casino on the strip.
LVFRITZ-
You wouldn't lie to me because of my avatar, right?
Thanks for all of the responses. We've played a little at the casino and we really like it there. My wife is a slot player who gets nervous about table games. A really nice dealer helped her out on the rules of roulette one time when we were there. Everyone was very friendly. Hotel reviews were mixed on various sites, but I trust you guys the most so good to hear almost all positive. If anyone else wants to chime in I'm all ears. Thanks-Jason
I've stayed there twice in a standard king room, and have no complaints. The beds are very comfortable, and I consider myself to be pretty picky about that. I do consider the bathroom to be pretty small, as the door hits me in the knees if opened while I'm on the throne.

I have nothing but good things to say about the staff, and I look forward to returning to the Silverton two weeks from now.
gocdogs,

Nope. I wouldn't hold your avatar against you. I understand that Red Sox fans desperately need to find something good in their encounters with the Yanks. They have so few to choose from. I figure Bucky phu...g Dent and Aaron Boone offset any talk of 3-0 comebacks. After that, Boston ain't got much to crow about for about 80 years.
Looking forward to another interesting year.

The Silverton is one of our two main plays in Vegas these days. We have always favored the Hilton, but even my wife would be tempted to take the Silverton over the Hilton these days. Not as big as the Hilton, but big enough. Not too small either. Rooms are comfortable for us. Bath not an issue for us. Nice people, good food. Just everything a Yankee fan could want.....and I understand that they let Red Sox fans book there too.
I was there in December. I thought the rooms were fantastic. The beds were among the most comfortable I've experienced in Vegas (keep in mind I dont typically stay at the Bellagio). I dont expect there is a good view to be had anywhere in the hotel but who cares?

One gripe : Most hotels give you some freebies when you're a guest...discounted meals, table matchplays, drink coupons, etc... They dont do that at the Silverton. You have to get your discounts from outside sources.
