Texas Station or Boulder Station?

Has anyone recently stayed at Texas Station or Boulder Station? They are the only casinos I can get a comped Sat night on my upcoming trip. I'm concerned about the quality of the room and resort. I'm pretty middle of the road in expectation...love the Strip resorts and have stayed at the better Station and Coast properties. What can I expect?

Haven't stayed at Texas, but I'm sure they're about the same as BS. Basic hotel room that would definitely be middle of the road. The property was a little frayed around the edges at that time (two years ago), but I understand they've been working on the place. I'm sure either will be ok, just don't expect to find Red Rock or GVR when you get there.

Good Luck!

I, too, have only stayed at Boulder Stn...and then for one night. I've never stayed at Texas Stn and so that is where I chose...just because it's one more hotel I can talk about first hand. I'm just afraid of getting cockroaches or hairballs in the drain, or something equally horrid. I found Boulder Stn to be fine; similar to Sam's Town or Bill's. Boulder's cafe was fine for a cheap breakfast.

I've stayed at both. I find Texas Stations' casino more appealing, but they're very similar in most respects. The rooms are indistinguishable. The Station most like Boulder is Texas, and vice versa.

It's been quite awhile, but I've stayed at both. I think the rooms at Boulder are a smidgen nicer than the ones at Texas. I remember Texas rooms have a LOT of stains on the carpet and furniture. I wasn't excited about either one, but I love the fact that at Boulder I can come in through the side door and be just steps away from the room elevators. I also like the hardwood floors at the check-in area.
Thanks for the input, folks.
