Venetian/Palazzo, Offers, online or snail mail? UPDATES, if you have any New Info? Thx.

My current offers are ridiculousy Low. And you Can't book any of em anyway.

Appears V/P only booking "paying" customers, and the regular Comp customers are getting shafted.

There appear to be NO new offers, Marketing or otherwise.

Anybody hear anything?

Is there light anywhere? What the hell is Adelson thinking???

I got a big flashy mailer from Palazzo.
What gives?

Oops...it was an invitation to a medical meeting. LOL
Room rate $182 per nite.
Resort fee $17 per nite.

I'm not goin', by the way. LOL
was flooded with mail and email from the V a couple years ago. But have not gotten anything I mean nothing whatsoever the past year to year and one half.
I don't get it unless the conventions are filling the place, which I doubt.
In mid November I gor a mail offer, 2 free nights either Dec1&2 or Dec 6&7.
Those were te only dates offered. It is now Dec 12, no new offers.

BTW, I was just in LV on a cheap rate at Caesar Palace. I haven't stayed there in two years.
Anyway, at check in I was automatically upgraded to the Augustus Tower. Exactly how much better is a room at he Palazo?
Also learned that as a Diamond card holder there was no fee to use the fitness center
(V/P charges $40). Also you get a 15% discount at the SPA.

I think life will go on without V/P.

Oh, lets see what happens after the Cosmopolitan opens.
A friend of mine is headed to LV for the Super Bowl. He is a sports bettor, no comps.
Anyway he is booked in the Paris for 5 days. He just called them to say" cancel my reservation, I am going to stay at the Cosmopolitan." Guess what, Paris lowered his total bill by $300 , same room.

That was the LAST offer I was able to book Profbac. The Choc. offer.

Like others..........we have a few offers Listed, but they are Not accepting any
comp reservations..........at all. Either booking online or calling. They say No.

Has anyone ever heard of any other places doing this............and staying afloat?
I have been calling around for one night, Tuesday Jan25.

Palazzo, with the resort fee, $249

Wynn, $129
Aria $79
Caesars Augustus Tower free, ( I was just there and played heavy)
Mandalay Bay, The Hotel, free ( I visit them maybe once per year)

The Cosmopolitan, $140, and I have never been there . could use Marriot Rewards Points instead.

So what exactly makes the Plazzo special?
CLV,

You are so right! V/P seem to have gone mute on offers! What's going on there?

We stayed there recently on an offer booked earlier in the fall & the place was empty! They even upgraded us to a view room with no request from us. As confirmation of struggling times, I did notice that the bath products had been downgraded & the towels set out were minimal. One set of each for each of us which was less than previous stays. Also, (not saying all the towels in the hotel are like this but...) our towels were no longer the in fluffy soft condition. They'd definitely been used a few times. No sense of luxury about them.
No doubt about it. The last couple comped stays there I noticed that V/P cutting back on nice touches as mentioned by slowpoke as well as no robes or slippers. Rooms not as thoroughly cleaned and maintenance items such as burned out bulbs. I didn't earn enough points this year to retain my Gold status I have had since 2000 so looks like won't get offers ever again.
After reading a lvrj article yesterday about Adelson and the probs he's got going in Macau?
I think he's definately doing More overseas, and unfortunatley V/P is the stepchild.
He's doing well in Singapore, but headaches in Macau..........like 100+ prostitutes being
taken in Venetian Macau. And the local Gov., not wanting to work with him......Not good.

I hear ya on the V/P niceties downgrade. I don't like the new toiletries either.

I still get Robes........but the slippers have been MIA for over a year now.

It was BUSY when I was in town Dec 1-4, during GGWrapup. Plus the Conventions
were in Full swing. It was Crowded on the Casino floor.
Seems like Thats where they are headed. More Conv. biz. Less gambler invites.
Too bad.
We took advantage of 4 nights comped in both May and July, since then only the offers mentioned above that don't work. Nothing for next year.

We are looking for 4 nights in February.
