Venetian trying to lure players back?

Just got an e-mail message from the Venetian. 3 nights comped + $200 in free slot play. The offer is good until June 1. With all the stunts they have pulled recently, I'm hesitant to book.

With all of the last minute canceling of confirmed comps (and offers of, 'but we'll let you pay for a room'), I can't see how anyone could ever trust them again.

I didn't get the E-Mail but just went to check my offers and I have 3 free nights with $175 in free Slot Credits or Table Play good until May 31. The usual "conditioned upon maintaining historical level of play as of the mailing date of this offer" message - that would be easy to do since I haven't played there this year at all!

More interesting is the following footnote "Offer may be amended or cancelled at any time without notice at management's sole discretion" Makes me want to call right up and reserve!

Could someone contact the Attorney General and maybe the Better Business Bureau about this?

It would be one thing for a hotel to tell players that the offer has been amended or cancelled when a player calls in to make reservations, but to cancel or ammend it when the player comes to the hotel is entirely another thing (and it's definitely bad)!

I received a letter in the mail but was downgraded from free rooms/food/play to discounted rooms only.Whoop-de-do!It went into the round file immediately.I'll keep my free RR suite, thank you very much!

Yep, I've been downgraded to the $129/$169 per night plan with $100 free play and $50 dining credit.

Are they still charging the resort fees on top of all this other crap?
