I will be in Vegas this weekend to watch the NFL football games. I was thinking of watching either at Southpoint or Suncoast with my group of 6. I'm looking for good food, cheap drinks, and a good view (with sound) of the game.
Which do you suggest?

I've never been thrilled with Suncoast, or any Boyd property, insofar as sports book atmosphere is concerned. Any of these locals' joints will be more than a little bit nutso during that weekend, so based on your other criteria, I'd go with South Point, hands down. You have the magic hot dog cart during the game, and a great choice of restaurants for before or after--all of which are priced better than their counterparts elsewhere (maybe you have some non-football member of your group who can stand in the buffet line for all of you).
I don't drink much at all, and the last time I paid for a drink was about twenty years ago, but people tell me that the drinks at SP are very good and very cheap.
There will probably be a game watch party in the showroom, which is always fun--they serve snacks, have drawings, etc,--but it's also fun to stake out a section of the sportsbook and scream at the TVs with the rest of the crazies. The girls will bring you drinks, and a good time will be had by all. Get there EARLY if you want to do this.
Kevin - thank you for the detailed reply!
There's only 1 game scheduled at a time so everywhere will have the games and the sound. No need to even go to a casino. Just pick the place whose food you like the best. Tuscany has a good sports pub with craft beers and a good menu...and it never fills up in there.
