Well, the Palms is shit

LDW has a much larger risk of ruin.

True, but it is still a positive play.

According to vpFREE2 all Station casinos offer LDW (loose deuces wild), @ 100.15%, which is a positive video poker play. Granted, LDW pays less than full pay deuces ( which pays 100.76%) but LDW is still a positive play. I don't believe I would get my panties in a bunch over a difference of .61 %.

Well, I'm not familiar with the tensile strength of your panties, but that difference of 0.61% is 4/5 of the player advantage you enjoy when playing FPDW. An hour of playing FPDW will earn an expert player $10, while the same action at FPLDW will earn $2.

However, that's not the reason I avoid LDW. When playing FPDW, what I call the "bleed rate," which is your hourly loss if you don't hit deuces or a royal, is about $50. The bleed rate at Loose Deuces is triple that. So if you can't get the big hands to come up, even a few hours of play could be pretty painful.

Since whatever you might profit playing a 100.15% game is trivial, my personal preference is NSUD at South Point, which including the slot club benefits, returns at least 100.03%, and well over that during promos.

Also, neither Stations nor Boyd award any slot club points for their positive games.

I agree with everything you have said here. Even so, as Bob Dancer recommends - only play where you have a mathmatical advantage, and LDW fits that advice. Of course, LDW is more volitable, but it is a positive play. Not awarding slot club points does not make playing LDW a negative play. I also agree with the fact that the demise of FPDW is regretable, but it is what it is.
