Westgate

Has anyone stayed at Westgate? I've read some really bad reviews on yelp, but I got a nice offer to stay there.
My spouse and I stay there and like it. It became our main place to stay at about 5 years ago based on room offers thru casino marketing. We're middle aged and like that the place is mellow. The pool area is not fancy but pretty large.
My wife and I like it. We have been staying there for years since it was LVH. I stay there by myself also when solo to bet sports. Great sportsbook, good video poker, monorail right outside the door, good parking garage and comfortable rooms. Hotel staff have always been cool with us. The timeshare salesholes seem like a problem for some people since it became Westgate but they are easily ignored.
I received an offer from Westgate for a comped room which is a suite on the 28th floor has anyone stayed in one of these rooms if so what are the suites like. My other offers are bogo buffet, 1 day admission to the concierge lounge and golf for 2.

I too received a similar offer, but with some free play too. We stayed there once when it was the Hilton and really enjoyed the regular room that we had. There was great VP also back then. If anyone has used this offer, I'd like to know how the golf worked out. I have reservations for May and made a tee time through Westgate's VIP.
The only time we tried to use the golf part of a Westgate offer (after making a tee time through VIP), my husband got there to play and was turned away because there was a TOURNAMENT going on that day! You would think VIP would have known that and not been able to schedule a tee time, but apparently not!

We never attempted it again after that.
sueflame: Please report back on your MAY STAY AT Westgate, as I have the same offer, and I am interested in partaking. My only problem is that they may require you to endure a lengthy hard-sale "timeshare" offer program. If that is the case, I may decide to forgo the Westgate offer.
sorry, I've been away from the forums for the summer. I hope you took advantage since there was no sales pitch to endure, just many people to avoid that wanted to snare you in for one. It rained the day we were to play golf, but be aware of the strict clothing requirements. Otherwise the stay was OK.
