Your 1st Vegas hotel?

It does not seem that long ago, but it was in early 1987. We stayed at the Gold Coast which had not been open long. We were working nights and they were still working construction in the days, but wow, I truly loved it.

Cheers,
Don' t remember the exact year. Decided to take Bob Stupak up on that promotional deal they had at Vegas World.

Before we could go, the thing tanked. Had the flights booked already so we were coming, Bob Stupak or not.

We ended up at the the Vegas Club. Oddest thing sticks in my mind; the shower had a window out to the street, which allowed you to people watch while cleaning up!

Did get the money refunded from Vegas World, so no harm done.
Bally's in January 1992. Had never ever set foot in a casino before. My wife-to-be and I dressed up in suit/tie and cocktail dress (thinking that's what EVERYBODY did - since our only knowledge came from James Bond movies) and bought two rolls of quarters. Hit a 500-coin jackpot within the first fifteen minutes. We were totally hooked (and laboriously counted out every quarter we won that night and kept them in a separate bucket until we went to bed at six the next morning). Saw "Jubilee" on our last night there. I wasn't sure how the whole Maitre D' thing worked (that was back in the day when they collected your ticket fee at your table during the performance), so I gave him something like $200 in cash for what I thought were for tickets and a tip. Got a center-stage booth, and was REALLY surprised when they came around to collect for the tickets later that night. And my wife was so exhausted that she feel asleep halfway through the show...
I cant believe how many of you posters remember the year. For me, it was sometime in the early 80's at the Westward Ho.

1992, first flight, Pensacola to Vegas; Circus Circus strip room.....strictly nickel player, sat down at a dime keno machine in slots o'fun; won $200 and can not shake my keno addicition to this day ( here I come Fitz baby, keep my keno machines warm). I think we ate Ho dogs and Ho strawberry shortcake daily that trip. Oh the memories!
I think it was 92 or 93 and we stayed at Circus Circus.
I don't remember the year but it was for COMDEX and I stayed at Circus Circus. Desert Inn was still open and Treasure Island opened recently.
We stayed at the Dunes because it had a golf course.never played.lol
August 2003 at the Stratosphere. We got married that trip so the year is easy to remember. 108 degrees the day of our nuptuals. Got a limo to the court house and the air was broken. Luckily the windows rolled down two inches. lol
1985, drove up from Phoenix, timed our deptarture to arrive at CircusCircus precisely when they opened up for their 99 cent bkfst. buffet that we had heard so much about. Had a pact with the three of us on the way up, and if any of us won enough money THAT day, we would spend the night, one of my buddies put one quarter into a slot at CC as we walked through the Casino on the way to eat and he won $25.00 on that quarter, so we found a room on the strip for that " saturday " night for that amount, I believe it was the Sands or the Dunes, we stayed in the tower that was cylinder shaped and had a balcony.
