Your 1st Vegas hotel?

2000 Las Vegas Hilton. Full Pay Pickem, Full Pay All American, 0.5% cash back, LFB on $8K a day of action. Oh my god I miss those days....

1985 at the Golden Nuggett. A year or two after, they started working on Fremont Street, and I remember walking on plywood sidewalks and jumping over mud puddles.

One of the most memorable stays was at the Aladdin. Ownership just changed, and the new owners had not acquired a gambling license, but were renting rooms for $21.00 per night. This was in the mid to late 80s.
There was a partial dirt trail to the Dunes.

March 2005 - The Tuscany with my father for the NASCAR race...

Was very impressed with the Tuscany in all honesty. Casino was a little smoky, but the drinks were fast and strong. Poker room was full of locals that were easy money.

After being to Vegas 7 or 8 times since, would honestly not mind staying off the strip again.

August 1969 I stayed at The Dunes where the Bellagio is now. The room was old and tired and I thought I was a Blackjack player until someone at the table said "If you don't know how to play get off the table moron".

Union Plaza Hotel (now the Plaza) in 1975 around Christmas time ( I had just turned 18 but gambled without any problem). Fell in love with Vegas.
I think it was 1994 or 1995 maybe even '96, definitely early May. We had two free nights at the Sahara thanks to a recent vacation company spiel that we sat through back home. We splurged on night three and booked at the brand new Paris and had a beautiful room overlooking the Eiffel Tower with the Bellagio Fountains in the background. I've been back twice since then staying at: The Orleans, Monte Carlo, and MGM Grand. Heading back for trip number four in late January. Hotel is still TBD. Candidates include back to Monte Carlo (best value for the level of quality) or Paris, Tropicana, Bally's, or maybe Harrah's.
1992 was my first trip. It was my 23rd birthday. We had a large group going...My mom and dad, my grandma, two aunts, an uncle and my friend Brenda. We had a blast. Stayed at Vegas World on their package deal. Loved that place. It was fun.

Ah the memories of that trip! My grandma (who originally moved here from Italy) would not leave her slot machine. We went to get ready to go to dinner and she wouldn't leave that machine. She was afraid someone would win her jackpot. We ended up bringing her hot dogs to eat since she wouldn't leave the machine. LOL

This was my first trip gambling and I mostly played nickel slot machines to conserve my money. Our last night there I decided to play $3 on a dollar slot machine because it felt lucky. I played $1 at a time. The first pull I won nothing and the second pull I won $80, third pull $6. I stopped then very happy with the outcome. A lady at the machine next to me leaned over and said, "If you had played all 3 coins you would have won $240 on that win. I said, well if I played all 3 coins I would have lost on the first spin and been done. So I am pretty happy with my win!" She wasn't very pleasant. I also remember seeing a lady that won $5000 on a slot machine and how excited she was. That was fun to watch!! I stopped to talk to her and she rubbed my arm for good luck. Fun times!!!

1967 the Riviera. Back then airfare on UA fromChicago was in the $250 range. But the hotels offered room pkg. that were very cheap if you were flying in. I've been out there every year since and starting in the late 70's 2 or 3 times a year. I've seen all the marketing changes and reiventing and have no intentions of stopping no matter how it changes LV. Its been quite interesting to say the least. Back in the late 60's and early 70's we could see a dinner show and a late show wind up watching a lounge show into the wee hours and not deplete your bankroll doing it. I still enjoy going 3 times a year and have no intentions of stopping with any new changes. So good luck to all see you there 12/9/11 for my annual birthday trip. 66years young.
Excalibur in 2000....never have and never will step foot back in that place
1987 Stardust. We stayed out back. Being from Ohio it was so cool getting up the first morning stepping out the door, and BAM!, it was like the mountains were right there. I remember looking across the street at Riviera and thinking some day we'll stay there. Well 24 years later I did. It's not the cool Riviera that it seemed to be back then, but I enjoyed making it happen after all those years. We stayed at Stardust many times, but moved on to other places simply to make the Vegas experience fresh again, but now that it's gone I miss it.
