Your 1st Vegas hotel?

Wow mine is almost the same as jack71687.

1987 at the Stardust. Also stayed in the back in what I think they called the garden rooms. We were in town for the equipment show Con-expo. I barely saw the show. I hit my first RF in my first 1 1/2. Now March will be trip #40.

That is sooooooo long ago.

i don't know the year. it was the Excalibur's 2nd anniversary. fred and i went for two or three nights. i can't remember. $35 per night. we split the cost. i brought maybe $300. i remember going to the pool in my
jean shorts and getting fried. It must have been July/August. also, i remember playing bj alone against the dealer and getting crushed. i hadn't played a lot or studied at the time. i also remember Fred buying me
brunch at Bally's Sunday brunch because I had no money left. I don't remember what it cost then. Not the
$$ it is now. my best memory is sitting in the keno lounge at Excalibur at 4:00 a.m. with somebody passed out next to me and me drinking free Heinekens thinking to myself I'm in Vegas.

I also went to the Hoover dam this trip and golfed at some locals course and hit a few houses with my drives.

August 1985 at the El Cortez. Not much different today! Drove from Maine to San Diego when I changed duty stations in the Navy. First time out west and in a casino and I was hooked.
My first trip was in the late 1980's, I think. My first stay was at the Flamingo. Won $5502 on a 21 game keno ticket and I was so hooked!

Early 80's at the Holiday Inn, now Harrahs. $5 two deck tables were noticed then, $2 was standard shoe BJ. Casino was probably about 15% of the size it is now. My wife really liked the Silver City Casino across from Circus Circus and their nickel watermelon machines. Those were the days.....
about 1972 drove into town at 3 am the lights were amazing for the first time..... we stayed at the fine motel 6 when the rates were 6.95 a night................i went to cp and blew my first 300. playing dice...............had a great time after 100 trips and a whole bunch of different properties i am mostly a station person. rr and gvr..............gl
,Our first trip to Vegas was a great gambling trip. We stayed at the Imperial Palace. Wife one a total of $7,000 in her first 30 minutes of gambling. It was on after that. Only spent a few hours in the room each day. Loved the character of the IP back then.

2001 LV Hilton for the first night, Ballys for the other two. Ballys was overbooked so they put us up in the Hilton, paid for the transportation, gave us tickets for Jubilee, and Free buffets. It is a long walk from the Hilton to the Stratosphere. We were pretty crazy to walk where we did, especially after dark. No way in hell I would make that walk today!
1988 - Flamingo, I was 25. My parents were travel agents and American Airlines took a group of agents out for 3 nights and Dad didn't want to go so I went with my step mom. She wasn't a gambler, we toured hotels by day so she could see the rooms she was selling to clients. I played 25 cent balloon bars slots at night.
