I'm watching the matchplay coverage and Bubba's looking at 284 into a par five. In the previous group, both players were about 270 out and hit 3 wood. Bubba has a THREE IRON in hand. Faldo and his boothmate are argueing whether he's going for it or laying up. Faldo can't imagine going for it with 3 iron. Boothmate can't imagine laying up with a 3 iron. Watson hits the iron onto the green, just about pin high! I can't stop laughing for five minutes. How the hell can anyone hit a 3 iron 284 yards with no wind assist. In fact, I think they said if anything, there was a slight breeze against him. Either way, this is wrong, terribly wrong. If you missed it, don't worry, it'll be in the highlights.
