Course recommendation wanted

Here's what I want:

Golf course that will let my wife ride along. She doesn't play. I'll need rental clubs. Not schleping my clubs for one round. Nothing too expensive. I'd have to rent a car for a day or taxicab to the course. We're staying on the strip. End of August. With the expense of transportation, maybe a location that we could spend the day and not just a golf course might be a good idea.
Most courses websites don't seem to tell you what their ride along policy is. Paiute does specify a $20 charge for ride alongs; not sure if that is common or not. Perhaps some would let you do that for free (wishful thinking maybe, I don't know). Wanting a destination to spend the day makes me think that Boulder Creek would be a good candidate. Boulder City is kind of an interesting little town, and you could spend time around the dam, Lake Mead, etc. Pretty decent golf course as well. Shouldn't be too pricey in August.
I ditched the rental car idea so need a course near the strip to save on taxi fare. Been looking at Angel Park Mountain, LV National or Desert Pines. Taking a golf lesson on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
Pines is a tick ne of downtown, Angel Park is in Summerlin; National's the only one "close" and cab back/forth ain't gonna be less than a daily rental. Why's the car a no go?

As for your opening questions: Rider fees vary, rental fees vary but summertime packages can change the formula, expensive is relative. As for pre-/post-golf activities, what're you thinking? Primm has (so-so) casinos and an outlet mall, and killer golf, for instance.

I figured if we got the car, we'd head out some place to take advantage of the mobility. We rented a car once in Vegas and it was a pain in the ass to remember where we parked it. Maybe I'll rethink the car rental. Just seems so much easier to hop in a cap.
Gingko. It will help your memory.

Hey, I'd never force a car on anyone. Just seems that when folks shun a rental it's because they are worried about drinking or Vegas traffic freaks 'em out. If you use valet they'll bring your car to you. If you steal a pen from the hotel room you can write down where you parked. lol

What is the cab fare going out/back to Summerlin (Angel Park)? I'd think it certainly beats even a hotel-based one-day rental. And you have the latitude to see/do/experience other stuff for the day.

I'd rent the car and go play Paiute. Check out the summer package rates/prices on the website. Or if she really isn't all that thrilled by the prospect of spending hours in the August heat while you channel Tiger, Primm would give her the outlet and the casinos as an option, and you get top-tier golf.
Primm looks good! Booked a couple nights at the Primm Valley resort. Just wish their golf webpage was working.
