If you're coming in August, you won't be paying a $100 a per person on all but a few courses. Temps will be 100-110, but just drink alot of water and you be fine. Angel Park for instance, will probably $60 or so prime time and go down ten bucks when "twilite" starts at 11 in the morning! Courses are not crowded as a lot locals either play at first light or just don't play. Courses are usually in good shape, but can get a little burned out towards the end of summer. Exceptions would be LV Paiute, Primm Valley or TPC LV. I've played each of them in August and I've never seen them in poor condition. You'll also find the best service in town at those three. They each charge a bit more, but it's worth it. You can check each club's website for summer pricing or google LV golf summer rates like I did for a friend a few years ago. That got prices for about 60% of the courses in town. Have fun.
