Mesquite in December

Every December I play in a media golf tourney. It's been in Scottsdale for eons and this year moves to Mesquite. The line up is looking bueno: The Chase, Falcon Ridge, Conestoga and Coral Canyon. That's three rock-solid plays and an OK filler.

The wife and I golfed in a couples tourney in Mesquite in Feb a few years back. It was at someplace like Oasis and Palms (maybe) not in the best of shape but hey it was golf.

We have thought on returning to Mesquite to golf a few days possibly this year. We do get out of practice since our courses depending on weather close soon. Any of those you mentioned that may be somewhat "easier" to play. Not looking for a "target course" when I have not been playing regular.

You'll definitely want to make the drive to The Chase at Coyote Springs (go down the 15 to Moapa, head east). There's a ton going on visually with that course but it is grass-to-grass most of the way, so step forward an appropriate level and you'll be fine. Awesome course. You've seen Palms so you know it's simple straightforward golf. Casablanca is a resort-style play set beside the river and some housing. Palmer at Oasis is fine. Forget Canyons at Oasis. Dave Druzisky did what he could with the newer nine given the inherent land-use constraints and the original "Vistas" nice remains essentially horrid.
