Planning July Golf Trip - Input Most Welcome

Big brother and I are heading out to LV July 10-15 and plan to play 18-36 each day. Our standard courses are Rio Secco, TPC, and Paiute. We usually do 36 at TPC early on the trip and 18 there on final day (good showers for cleanup before flight). We do 36 each at Paiute and Rio Secco. This leaves two days we need to fill. We would like to try 18 at one or two other courses in the area. I am hoping for some suggestions.

We have played Legacy (not impressed), Rhodes Ranch (OK but we payed it 9 years ago), Revere (both Lexington and Concord were OK, not great), Dragon Ridge (too uppity), Red Rock (treateed like second class), Bear's Best (OK but no natural flow to the course), Wolf Creek (too weird for, too much disconnect due to the roller coaster cart path).

We thought to try Tuscany, Angel Park (Palm or Mountain) or Stallion Mountain (I believe it is under new management).

Any thoughts or suggestions will be helpful. I'll report back with some course reviews.

Thanks in advance.

If the Legacy doesn't float your boat, the three you mentioned won't start your engine either. They are at the same level or below. I would recommend you head south to Primm Valley. They not only have two courses so you can play 36, but they are well conditioned and you'll have a tough time finding better service.

Good Luck!

Primm is an excellent idea. Excellent. And since you don't seem opposed to driving, give consideration to Coyote Springs -- best course to open in the larger area in a very long time -- or Conestoga up in Mesquite.

Like you double-day approach. We usually do one Paiute and Primm doubles and both TPCs. Always loved the SouthShore/Reflection Bay double. Boo hoo.
