Turning a good round into a Double Snowman

I played The Farms in Rancho Santa Fe on Tuesday. Had a caddie and we got around in 2:25 which was awesome, and not bad for a fat old guy, on a hilly course, walking.

Doubled 9 to shot a 39 on the front, offsetting a purdy little eagle on 6. Hey, still a 39!!! So of course I hit Snappy the Clown on 10 tee as Mr. 16 Index showed up in full glory on the back.

Why is it always that way?
I wouldn't let that happen to you if I was in the group. I would use a mental whip on you and the worse case scenario would be a ten footer for 79.
Hey Ken, Nice to see you still around these parts. Good shooting! On the front anyways.
"I feel your pain". I'm a 10 index, and last year I'm playing a VERY easy course with guys even older than my 55 years of age, so we're playing from only 6000 yards. All that being said, I come to 18 and I'm one under par. I love your line, so I'll use it.................18 is a short par 4 dog leg left, so I decide to go with my 3 iron, but Snappy the Clown grabs it from me and yanks it into the woods. Snappy gave me the club back, and I hit a nice iron to about 110 yards from the pin. I knocked a wedge to about 6 feet, but missed the putt for a double bogie and a one over round.

Damn clown.
