here are some 'rules' to live by.
1.
stay away from the 'public teams' like new england, green bay, pittsburgh, etc. those teams will usually be 'overpriced', the money you win on cleveland for example is just as green as the money you might win anywhere else.
2.
be careful backing a team who played great the week before, especially if they played great and won by a large margin, the best bets are quality teams who lost well played games, those decent teams will be angrier the following week, you'll get their best effort most times.
3.
if tom brady gets suspended for the first 4 games of the season, don't automatically assume new england can't win those games, don't think "free money" because its not. im not saying bet ON the Pats, but don't load up against them and think you're being sharp.
4.
when week 3 starts, there will be a bunch of teams 2-0 and a bunch of teams 0-2, ask yourself 'who's the best 0-2 team who's sort of been unlucky to be 0-2" and then ask the same question about the worst 2-0 team and bet accordingly. that decent 0-2 team will be playing for their lives in week 3, you'll get their best punch.
5.
if all else fails, ask yourself "what would fezzik do" lol.
