Facts or Fiction???

I stumbled upon this at Stat-Fox.

Sorry if it was already discussed.

August 21 Costa Rica - BookMaker.com CEO Mickey Richardson announced today that the online sportsbook will accept a record-setting $1,000,000 USD bet on U.S. college football by professional sports handicapper Joe "The Factsman" Apricena.

The million dollar bet is whether The Factsman Apricena can finish the 2008 college football season with a better win-loss record than Richardson after making 30 picks on BookMaker.com with a minimum of one pick per week. The Factsman's BookMaker.com challenge starts on August 28th, 2008, the opening weekend of the college football 2008 season, and goes on through the college bowl season in December 2008 and must include the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) national championship game in January 2009.

On his sports handicapping website, SportsForumPicks.com, home of The Factsman, Apricena has a documented winning percentage of 64% on his college football picks over the past 10 years, a number of professional sports handicappers in Las Vegas and lines makers at offshore sportsbooks have noted that The Factsman is masterful in his ability to exploit betting lines on small schools in college football and basketball, where most sportsbooks lose their edge.......

Scott Martin, CRIS Executive.

Fucking frauds.
>"Sportsbooks do most of their homework on the top 25 college teams in the country because that's where they'll see most of their action," explained Apricena. "But on the other games each week, I'll find five- to eight-point mistakes all year long." <

I'll give the guy a break and attribute this quote from an old bio in 1988....

Joe Apricena SportsForumPicks

We have gotten a few emails at the MasterLockLine.com regarding Joe "The Factsman" Apricena. According to Cy McCormick, Apricena highest finish ever in any sport was in 2002 when he ranked 97th out of 620 sports handicappers in college football. That year was also his highest overall finish in all sports when he came in at 202 out of 620.

SportsForumPicks.com and Bookmaker teamed up for a sensational publicity stunt when they claimed Apricena risked $1,000,000 in a bet. "The worst publicity is no publicity," said OffshoreInsiders.com CEO Joe Duffy admitting, "I wish I thought of the stunt first."

As radio touts Sebastian, Larry Dukehart "The Duke" on Sporting News Radio and Jonathan Stone, as well as John Morrison, Sports Betting Champ show, marketing is imperative. The sportsbooks and sports handicappers are often involved in synergy promotions and the previously unknown Apricena and Bookmaker have pulled off the best publicity stunt since Lou Diamond's HBO gift horse.

Perhaps one of the sportsbooks can say they found Bigfoot or has that idea already been taken?

This is all fiction. Joe The FACTSMAN Apricena is the biggest fraudster on the internet today. His winning % hasn't exceeded 50% for years. He promoted this million dollar challenge years ago to make a name for himself. He sells loser picks for $300 a month just like all the other touts. He claims he wagers $30K per game yet nobody has ever seen anything to back this up. If you win consistently while wagering 30 dimes a game you don't need to sell picks for $10 a day. The time it takes isn't worth $300 a month for a 30 dime a game player. Until this guy shows something as fact then its all lies and deceit. He's a scammer at the highest degree. A terrible person and even worse handicapper. He talks a big game but stay far away from this fraudster.
Joe Apricena is getting hammered in the forums. Looks like the end of the road for this fraudster.
All Fiction...

Today Joe Apricena likes the NY Yankees -115.

Best to fade of course and take the Baltimore Orioles at + money.

He is one of the worst handicappers on the Internet today.
