anyone going to Vegas in 2025

can we start some meets to stop the hate ?

I'll be heading to LV weekend of 2/20-2/23 for son's 22nd Bday and the Westgate Slot Tourney.  

Sorry I go in June my Birthday.My sons birthday 2/26. But he will be 56. I still remember his 21st. 

I just reread your son is going to be 22,I remember my sons 22nd too. 
When he turned 21 first time he went to Las Vegas with me. Now that I am a old lady he comes every year.Lucky for me he has more point status. I read your trip review sounds like your having a great time.

We randomly go several times a year depending on when I am in Phoenix for work, free rooms & available entertainment (enjoy the SP shows)

A few months after my son turned 21 we did a family Vegas trip.  There were around 10 of us.  Good time.  I had taught him craps at our home casino and also basic strategy so he was prepared.  We had fun.  Cousins, uncles, my mom, all ages.  Had some good dinners, some shows (I sat out Donny & Marie) and of course some gambling. 

The only way to completely stop the hate would be to lobotomize every MAGA. That's probably not practical.

I've interacted with quite a few of the red baseball cap crowd in casinos, though, and for the most part, they act like normal human beings. A little dumber and fatter, perhaps, but not really over the top. It's when they get into homogenous groups that whatever is wrong with their minds has an exponentially multiplicative effect.

So maybe you have it. Intermingle with them, separate them out from their own kind, show them a good time. I think that transforming from human to MAGA must be stressful and doubtless, disturbs equilibria. It's probably soothing to not be in an environment where you have to chant hate slogans or get beaten up/ostracized. In casinos, we have a common enemy, or opponent, anyway, and can quit ragging on each other, for the time being, at least.

I wouldn't mind meeting most of our resident MAGAs, with the exception of two of the most fanatic and loathsome, whom I will not name. The rest, I think we could find some common ground and maybe even have some fun together. There's one thing about the hate you decry...it's brittle. It can be broken up and dispersed. After all, hard 12s get hit with face cards whether you're a sane person or a MAGA. Common experiences seed common ground.

I personaly am tired of BS posts like the one you just made.  You seem to go around picking fights for kicks.  One negitive post after another. There is no reason to bring the sink conflicts into this area

You mentioned "the hate" and my observations about how meetups might deal with that were honest. Don't call something you disagree with "BS"--that's Sink talk.

I think you need to keep the MAGA talk and political views in the sink. Brent posted in the Sink a few times, decided it wasn't for him, and is trying to grow the conversation in other parts of the forum. Which I think is welcome to help grow interest in the forum and YouTube channel. 

I believe you are a deterrent to that and need to take control of yourself outside the Sink, I appreciate your knowledge on Vegas.

I also don't appreciate you bringing the Sink to other topics.
