anyone going to Vegas in 2025

I think you need to keep the MAGA talk and political views in the sink. Brent posted in the Sink a few times, decided it wasn't for him, and is trying to grow the conversation in other parts of the forum. Which I think is welcome to help grow interest in the forum and YouTube channel.

I believe you are a deterrent to that and need to take control of yourself outside the Sink, I appreciate your knowledge on Vegas.

I also don't appreciate you bringing the Sink to other topics.

I agree, Max.  Sink stuff should stay in the Sink.

I'm hoping to be there the 17th and 18th if my knee stays healthy.

Looking at July in celebration of BFF's birthday.  But we are Strip snobs so unlikely anyone will want to associate with us.

At least you'll be there during the second cheapest month. That's partly because it's the second hottest.

One thing has changed over the years, though. Summer used to be a relatively slow time in Vegas, as the heat kept people away. Now, it's very busy all through the summer, albeit with the aforementioned July lull. I just can't take any combination of heat and crowds. If I want to feed my gambling jones that time of year, Reno/Tahoe is the place to go. And if you have existing relationships with the robber baron gambling companies, almost all of them have a presence there and you can probably get some decent deals.

It just seems like deliberately being in Vegas in July is like deliberately being in Minneapolis in January. It is possible to have fun, I guess, but...why?

March Madness for me too.  But this might be the last one, it's just too expensive even with comped rooms.  Minimums are too high, car rentals jacked up, flights super expensive, ride share premiums, crowds are too big, drunks are too drunk.  My buddies and I have been doing MM for almost 2 decades and its kind of dragging on us the last few years.  We've added an October/November trip and that may end up being the meet up after this year, we'll see.

When our district spring break was in the first week of April we always came for the Final Four.   Last time was about 9 years ago for my 50th birthday.   Fun times.

Considering mid-April..to coincide with the CET 5X multiplier event. We'll see.
