March Madness for me too. But this might be the last one, it's just too expensive even with comped rooms. Minimums are too high, car rentals jacked up, flights super expensive, ride share premiums, crowds are too big, drunks are too drunk. My buddies and I have been doing MM for almost 2 decades and its kind of dragging on us the last few years. We've added an October/November trip and that may end up being the meet up after this year, we'll see.
Since you can stay home and watch the games in comfort (no screaming drunks; no smokers; your own comfy chair), eat whatever food you want during the game at a fraction of the cost of Vegas restuarants, etc. etc....and the nail in the coffin is that it's pretty easy to find somewhere to bet, either online or physically nearby. I can't imagine it being anything resembling fun to be in Vegas during March Madness.
Of course, I've found it increasingly hard to imagine being in Vegas as fun at all these days. I hate getting ripped off, and I hate crowds.
