March 2021?Pick a date. Mid-week!

I'm a downtown guy!

Downtown Grand,The California and maybe the MSS,if they haven't screwed up the 9/6 video poker at the Boars head Bar!I go for the High Roller Gold beer.

Black jack at El Cortez and the Fremont,if it's not too frikken' smokey!

I avoid the D because it's JUST TOO LOUD!Maybe the ponies.

Team play at BJ? YES!  I can count a little. Coupon run?Sure.

Craps at the Fremont or the Cal.

I SLAM the free odds, mostly on the outside numbers.4,5,9 and TEN.

Never did the IRON CROSS. Looking for a 2X and 3X on the FIELD numbers.

Hello Dave.

I just read this.  I doubt that I'll be in Vegas in March, but you never know.  I know that blackjack book, but don't count, so I'd be no help there.

I will be in Vegas Oct 1-5, however.  It's my annual Vegas trip pushed back one month from our normal Labor Day weekend trip.  We are "Laboring Later" for this, our 37th annual trip.  Fifteen guys going this year.

My birthday is March 12th.  I'm in!  Bring on the limes!

This year, hoping for Thanksgiving in Vegas, and Christmas.  Gets me out of having to cook, and out of the big family gatherings I'm sure they won't be able to resist doing.  I'll tell them don't look for us, even if we just sit at home.

The grossly inept way the casinos are handling and enforcing (HA!) the mask mandate makes it a certainty that they'll be forced to shut down again when the "second wave" hits. Fall will turn Vegas into one giant superspreader event (it's happening already).

So don't bother to make any plans. We won't have a vaccine for a while, and people won't behave responsibly even if the casinos DO clamp down on mask-wearing and social distancing. After all, it's Vegas! Why act like an adult?????

One ray of sunshine is that nonsmoking casinos may be on the horizon at last. Patrons of a nonsmoking casino would doubtless be more safe and responsible re masks and social distancing than the average Vegas visitor touron (tourist+moron).

If you MUST visit, figure out some way to, in addition to ALWAYS wearing a mask (no exceptions! no excuses!), maintain social distancing and disinfect every surface you touch. Otherwise, you're risking your life and that of others.

Full disclosure: I just visited South Point, see trip report. I wanted to see if the measures they said they were taking were effective, and I was pretty paranoid about any kind of contact with patrons. Bottom line: their precautions are at best ineffective, and at worst, a sham. I used sanitizing wipes on everything I touched, maintained social distancing, always wore a mask, and I still didn't feel safe.

Suggestion:  Can we keep our replies according to the topic, e.g. if someone proposes a certain date or week for a meet, if ya think you might be able to, or probably or definitely, say so.   Don't crowd these threads with dislikes of smoking and Covid-19 and resort fees and everything else on our mind.  The proposal will become hard to follow for updates.

Dave in Seattle titled his post perfectly:  "March 2021, pick a date, mid week."

That way it gets the attention of anyone who can, might, etc. at that time, and it won't be so hard pull back up for updates, whether the meet is still on, the meeting place, etc.  (Or the originator can start a NEW topic with the final plans.)   If ya want to say no I can't do that date that's fine too, but keep it short.

If you are coming in the week before or after and want to propose alternate dates, start a New Topic.  Don't tag onto the same thread.  JMHO.

I am up for a visit in March 2021. Remember the 17th is St Paddys day so I think unless you like green beer and the crowds that week is out.  Can I suggest w/c 21st March??

Who is in?

2021.......................................................................................................................................!

The first few weeks in March should be very pleasant weather-warm days, but cool at night. 'Vegas is not quite ready right now. My buddy agrees. We will need to get away from all of this RAIN,then.

Oh,never again on Saint Patrick's DAY! Way too many very drunk tourists and locals! The crowds were huge and loud.Just B-4  or just after that time will be fine.

Candy and her limes! Call you lime-lady.Empty out and wash a 3 ounce hand sanitizer bottle.Lime flavor.

Downtown coupon run? YOU BET!I'll include The Plaza.Gotta go WAY back there to validate your coupons.

If you need to go to Sam's Town, there is a free shuttle at the valet entrance at The California.9/6 VP there.

Still a coin chortage? I just don't get it!

My buddy's Bday is March first and we always eat at Magnolia's for a 2-fer.(In your Bday month) Still undecided on the exact dates for a downtown fling.  March 12,March 21. NOT the 17th.No way,Jose.

We probably still  will be "masking" around those dates. If so,I will smoke OUTSIDE!(Take my beer with me)

I'll take a break at the BJ tables when the deck turns into 'minus',anyway.

I'll bet that Kevin is a pretty good BJ player-am I right?Boilerman can show me how he bets at the craps tables.Rett, what is w/c on March 21?

I'll buy the Casino Gambler coupon book for 2021.Great for downtown, usually.

Dave, I used to count professionally. I got really sick of it after a few years. But the games were oh so beatable--not like today!

Downtown's the best place for a coupon run. If you can get another ACG book and the casinos honor the coupons, and there's a 2021 LVA book...you're good for $145 or so in free money. Bet the Pass and Don't Pass at the same time with those $25 matchplays! ($25+coupon on one side, $37 on the other--must win $12!). Grab all the free play--then leave.

Play VP at MSS. Remember, if you drink 100 beers before you lose $100, you're ahead! Plus, of course, you could get a $5000 scratcher. And a unicorn could materialize next to you with a bag of gold in its teeth.

If you're going in March, try to avoid March Madness if you can--of course, we don't even know if it will happen.

And I don't have to be in Vegas on my birthday, just some time during the month for birthday money from an MGM property.  Unless they've quit doing that.  They'd better not!
