72 Hour Waiting Period Between Offers

When did MGM/Mirage properties start instituting a 72 hour waiting period in between offers? When planning our trips to Las Vegas, my husband and I normally stay for 7 to 10 days and break up our trip between three MGM/Mirage properties based on offers we receive. This time around we're being told we have to wait 72 hours in between offers. As a result, they've lost our business for some of our trip. Several of the MGM/Mirage properties have told me that this has been their policy forever, but that the hotels/casinos just haven't strictly enforced it until recently. This is kind of a bummer! Luckily, my husband received a decent offer at Paris, so we're staying there our last two nights and booked a room at NYNY for our first two nights via a Facebook offer. In the middle, we'll be staying at the Mirage via a great MLife offer I received. However, we're missing out on a complimentary night at Mandalay Bay because we can't figure out a way to make it work with the 72 hour waiting period. Is there anyone else out there experiencing this problem?
Yes, this has been MGM policy forever. Some offers say "back to back promotional offerings are not permitted" (I just looked at one of mine). I've never understood the rationale except perhaps to discourage double booking.

Do you have a host anywhere in the MGM system who might be able to override the rule for you? Also, wait a few days and call again, hope to get someone less anal to make the reservation.

Also, call Mandalay Bay directly instead of going through the MGM number.
Thank you. I just emailed two hosts (Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand) I've worked with in the past, so we'll just have to go from there. I'm interested in what they'll be able to do. Strictly adhering to the no back to back promotion policy is going to make them lose business. I mean wouldn't they rather waive the policy for me for two days than have my husband and I stay at Paris? One would think so.
I neve pr had problems booking back to back when I did it online, this was years ago before Mlife. I did need to change a resevation once that I had booked back to back and when I called to make the change I was told of the 72 hour rule, but she did say "let's just go-ahead and make that change and see if anyone catches it". I didnt have a problem.

Did you get a comp might @ Mandalay that didn't have a 2 night minimum? The last several offers we've had from Mandalay have all had 2 night minimums.

My current offer at Mandalay Bay is for one complimentary night with no minimum stay, but because we're staying at the Mirage for four nights with a promotion, we're having trouble obtaining our complimentary night. I'm doing what I can to secure that complimentary night though. Thanks.
