Back to Back comp stay policy change

Does anyone have an update on this?
Just returned from my trip in which I had back to back stays at The Hotel @ MB and Aria.
Everything worked out just fine. A few call outs:
-At MB my "TV" portfolio review showed I was being charged for the room every night. When I spoke to VIP they told me it was because I had back-to-back reservations and there was a slightly different way they do these to somehow give them better visibility but I really was not being charged. When I checked out the room charges had been removed.
-They do have a systematic to ensure you do not get FreePlay more than once. I got my FreePlay at MB with no problem. When I checked in Aria the front desk lady told me what my offer included and did mention the FreePlay so I was hoping that maybe they really did not enforce the rule you could only get it at your first stay. At the Aria Mlife booth they told me that it was linked to both reservations and showed it had already been given so there was no way for them to give out again. No biggie since they had told me that when I made the reservation.
-My Food allowance was deducted just fine for both stays.

Was also able to score room upgrades by showing my gold card. Got upgraded to a "V" room at The Hotel and to a very high floor with awesome view aria (was already in a suite, but the front desk lady actually did make a call to see if there was even a better suite available...there was not as it was Memorial Day weekend)
Thanks for the update I may be doing the same thing as you did.. Aria and then Mandalay Bay with 4 days in between stays.
We spent 10 days in Vegas recently and booked Aria & Bellagio on offers with free play/food etc. Also had 4 days separating the stays. Didn't realize gold card would help us get a room upgrade - figured they had all the info in the system...will have to try that when we go back in Sept. We actually went from sapphire to platinum on this trip....had so much fun!
When does MGM assign you a host? In the past we've received emails with a host intro from properties after returning home ....but never from MGM.....

This past Friday (6/17) I tried booking my "Buzz" offer through VIP services at MGM.

I was shown as also having a reservation there for 6/22 and the clerk told me that "you need 7 days between stays at MGM Resort properties". In my case, the room on 6/22 wasn't mine.....it was a "share with" with Barb so it proved not to be an issue but I'm starting to get the impression that there's inconsistency with their system.

In my experience so far with the new MLife system - inconsistency reigns supreme!

When I have called to inquire about offers - I have called the same number for the same hotel for the same offer on three different occasions & have had three different responses for what is included or excluded from my offer. I have done this with three different properties & again - each time received different sets of information. It's very frustrating! Never know for sure what we are going to get until we get there! And even then - as another poster mentioned, at Aria was not even sure of that until check out (as all charges appeared on the TV)! They only disappeared after checking out!

Crazy & frustrating yet so far - we've done ok. But seriously, each trip is a bit of a crap shoot!

As for back to backs - again we've had different info offered by marketing. The latest was that FP was only available with a minimum of 6 days in between bookings. Whether that is accurate is anybody's guess.
Funny story about what is included.

After being RFL at Bellagio and Aria, we made a trip to NYNY. At the VIP checking, I asked if the mini bar was included in RFL like it was in the other two MGM properties. The girl said yes it was. So, I figure we can make off with some extra goodies. Cool.

Well, the joke was on us. We get to the room to find there was no mini-bar.

Idiots. (not sure if I am referring to them or us)

Well, looks like they changed the back to back stay policy again. Just confirmed from both Bellagio and Mirage as of Aug 1, there is a 72 hour in between stays policy for offers. At least it's not 5 days!
Mirage did confirm, however, that you can stay using your tier discounted rate during the 72 hour window.
I would advise them my 72 hrs inbetween, they could find me at CE or Stations properties.

I do Not get the short-sidedness of Casino marketing.

Isn't the goal to Keep customers At YOUR Properties?

Which proves the absurdity of this "policy."
