Best Vegas package yet.

My wife and I go to Vegas every year. We travel from the east coast. We have stayed almost everywhere on the strip: Mirage, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, MGM, Flamingo, Caesars, etc. My wife always wanted to stay at the Bellagio, but I never wanted to pay their prices. Well, I came across a great sale/deal on one of the most popular travel sites: Non stop air (at ideal times), 4 nights @ Bellagio (with Saturday night stay), plus show tickets (KA') for $600 per person. We will probably do minimal eating and gambling @ the Bellagio, but plan to enjoy the room, location, ambiance and pool. I can't wait! Just hate wishing away the summer so I can get to my next Vegas trip.
So I ask my fellow Vegas lovers...WHY? Why is Vegas so intoxicating? (especially to someone conservitive in their 40's with easy access to AC and other casinos?)
IMO:

Hype, anticipation, escape mentality is stronger for Las Vegas than for other gambling destinations. A Vegas vacation...the mind thinks of all the possibilities.
To me--Vegas is "intoxicating" because I work
with the public and when I'm in Vegas I
can be as social as I want to just sit and
be by myself and not talk to NO ONE--as much
as I want. . . . . Also, I'm not hyper but
I like to stay kinda active on "vacation" so
gaming keeps my mind busy and off of the
other "stuff" . . . . . Also, I don't have
to cook or clean for XXX number of days
that I'm there. . . . Also, Vegas offers
the best of many vacations--fine dining,
beautiful pools, wonderful entertainment,
good weather/sunny, beautiful resorts, free
drinks--all often comped!!!!
We leave this Sunday for our annual 10-day summer trip. My friends give me grief for staying so long and ask "don't you get tired of gambling?"

Well, the obvious answer is "no," but people still don't get the fact there are restaurants, shows, attractions, and so many things to see. Plus, the pool in the summer (we have been staying at Aria) is a great way to spend a few hours as you recover from the night before.

When I step off the plane a 1pm on Sunday, and smell that Vegas air (yes, I believe it does have a distinct smell to it), that is really one of my favorite moments of the year.

I had 2 friends who finally visited the place in the past year, after giving us grief about how often we go. Within 24 hours of them being there, I got a text from one of them that simply said "now I get it..."

FYI. while you are at Bellagio, play there, I always do very well there. I mostly play slots and tend to win alot. I never win any where else on the strip but at Bellagio always.
I get the same comments from family, friends. But you can't beat the pools, restaurants, shows, shopping at the outlet malls, etc. I can spend countless days amusing myself!
I agree with all of the above remarks.....in my opinion most people that don't understand how you could spend a week in LV have never been there.
