Caesars Augustus tower or Bellagio

Looking for some help - I have a choice between Caesars Augustus tower room or Bellagio. I have never stayed at Caesars, so that would be an opportunity to stay somewhere new. I haved stayed and played at Bellagio and I like it there and tend to spend time there no matter where I stay. Would you prefer Caesars Augustus or Bellagio? Thanks.
both are very nice, but I prefer Bellagio for the service and upkeep. You can't go wrong either way.
I split my time between the two.

Honestly, Caesars "regular" rooms are much nicer than "regular" Bellagio rooms.
Better bathrooms (separate WC, jetted tub, everything better).
Especially since the re-decoration of Bellagio rooms...ick.
Note this was not a "remodel" as they say, just a re-decoration.

But that is only my opinion and preference for Bel's old classic decor vs their new cowboy-meets-lava lamp decor. Many will like it I'm sure.

But I love a lakeview room at Bellagio, for the fountain view.
If you can score a corner room at Bel, much better. Excellent bathrooms.
Of course if you can score a suite at Bellagio, differerent story also.
But I've never had a real suite at Caesars, and only a salon suite at Bellagio, not really a suite but nice big room.

Overall, I like the casino atmosphere at Bellagio, and definitely the tables.
Thanks for your thoughts. I will probably be in a regular room, so I may give Caesars Augustus room a try. Is Augustus the best tower for proximity to the Strip and casino?

Strip yes, casino no.

You can use the side door on Flamingo to get to the strip very easily, which is what we do when staying there.

You have to walk a ways to the casino. Either right out of the elevators and past check in, or left and around past the buffet.
Unless mobility is a problem for you or companion, I don't see the distance from Augustus Tower to the casinos as that terribly long. You'll like the room for sure.
My last 6 trips were split between Augustus Tower and Bellagio.
It really is a coin flip, but given 5 seconds to choose one, (assuming price is not an issue)
I would take Augustus Tower.

- A bit quieter
- I liked the location: Starbucks right there, the Central Restaurant and bar for breakfast or a late drink
was more to my liking than the Bellagio Cafe.
- Close to the casino games I play.
- Close to the lobby and strip.
- Separate registration desk.

So now that I have said this, CET does not offer me any decent comps, they just don't like my action, where as M-Life is being very nice. But that is a different thread.

You won't go wrong either way.
