Does "Pearl" status get me anything?

So I have a M-Life membership and I'm currently Blue status (haven't been to Vegas since last January). However, I played heavily at Ameristar in Black Hawk, CO in February, and with their system I was upgraded to a Premier card. Now I guess their programs are linked somehow, so when I looked today on the Ameristar website, I see that Ameristar's Premier is equivalent to M-Life's Pearl. Which means I can get a new colored card when I go to Vegas in August. (woo hoo!)

I already have two nights comped at the Mirage, so just wondering if, when I get my new Pearl card, will it help out with lines, etc.? Sort of like Platinum/Diamond did at Harrah's properties. Or is it basically worthless?

I wouldn't say its worthless............but it kind of is. Reminds me of HET/CE Plat.

If you get MGM Gold, your offers will increase better than Pearl.

I got a few offers with Pearl, and even better with Gold, but this year, managed to squeek up to Plat.

IF you give some heavy play as a Pearl player? You may see some good offers arrive,
in spite of it.

I played VP heavily at Aria for a couple trips, and now I get Aria & Bell comp offers, regularly.

like weve discussed on other threads..........my Online acct. is still Lowly, compared to the
snail mail & Email offers MGM sends me. Those are Much Better, and Don't show up online.

I agree, my snail mail offers are much better than the web site, also this year i booked a 3 night comped stay at Bellagio along with a 3 night comped stay at Caesers. I have combined offers many years now and get a week of comped stay but i never used a host so i sent an email to a slot host at Bellagio telling him what i have done for years and said i prefer not to have to switch hotels mid week and he comped the entire week at Bellagio, shocked me because I have never been offered more than 3 nights before so try using a host, worked well for me.

At Bellagio, at least, a pearl card will let you use the invited guest line at the cafe and buffet.

Pearl is only good for the buffet - in order to skip the coffee shop lines you have to be Gold and above....
