Earning Tier Credits through hotel stay

I recently stayed at the MGM after a long stint with Harrahs properties. It is my understanding that tier credits are earned for $ spent on the hotel room and most things charged to the room. Also, I supplied my Hyatt number and SW rapid rewards #.

After about 2 weeks I am still only seeing my gambling tier credits and none of the others. My room was booked through mlife directly.

How long do these things take to go through? Is there a catch that I am not aware of that would not make a stay a "qualifying" visit?

Thanks!
I have found tier credits for hotel expenditures within 72 hours of check out. (Aria and Bellagio).

Why did you give your Hyatt and SW ?? numbers. Did they give you credit on those accounts.
It is my understanding that they are connected to Hyatt Gold Passport and you can earn points for most stays. There is also a connection to SW however I think there is more to a "qualifying" stay. No one was sure so we put it in just in case
I would call and find out if they give both Hyatt and MGM points for the same expenditure. I would guess not. That is probably the source of confusion.

The SW web site says expect 6-8 weeks after the mLife hotel stay to see your 750 Rapid Reward points added to your RR account.

Probably similar for your Hyatt hotel stay.

ProfBac, you have to book the hotel stay directly through SWA, mLife, or other specified sites to earn the 750 SWA Rapid Reward Credits.

Does not apply to comped rooms.
Candy,
Please clarify:
If you book through Mlife, will you get points on both SWA and Mlife for the same hotel stay?

If yes, does that work if you go through a host, or if you call customer service?
ProfBac

Basically it is a way to earn SWA Rapid Rewards points, 750 points per hotel stay.

Nothing to do with earning mLife tier points, Express Comps, etc.

You must book it through the SWA website, or several other "qualifying" systems listed there, which does include booking directly through an mLife reservation system.

But it is NOT applicable to comped rooms, or if booked through a "third party" system, which I take to mean Hot Wire, etc.

So, booking through a Host or Customer Service for comped rooms won't fly (no pun intended!).

SWA has partnered with businesses, restaurants, florists, etc, whereby you earn RR points if you present your RR card # when you pay.

But for a hotel stay you have to book through their designated system, which also means you pay their going rate for the room.

I dug through the SWA web site for this information, so look at it yourself to see if I am reading it correctly. Go to Southwest.com, click Rapid Rewards, then click something about "earning points", click Hotels. Several "partners" are listed including mLife and Hyatt, among others. Click on mLife and it shows the rules.

Perhaps kathyzielinski can tell us about her experience with it.
