enhancement fees @ MGM WTF is this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, one thing you could try while waiting for a room in a hotel is to put your valuables in the
hotel's safe deposit box.

I don't feel I am paying to get in early but for the "guarantee".To be able to get at least 6 xtra hours of fun per trip guaranteed for 10.00 is well worth it to me.I have used safes before but there is a hassle associated with that also.I get my rooms comped so to me the cost does add value.I completely understand where you are coming.I do not like resort fees but I am sure there are people who think this is a great value if they always use spa,wi-fi,buy paper etc.

I don't like the wording "early check in guaranteed between 9a-3p". Does that mean I'm guaranteed in at 9:05, or does that mean I paid extra to let them keep me out of my room until as late as 2:59? I'd consider paying extra if it said "early check in anytime after 9am guaranteed".

Still, you're better off playing the odds that 90% of the time, they are able to check you in early for free anyway. Boo to MGM!

also, if they can guarantee you early check in by charging you ten bucks, then they are still going to have that room available at 9:00 for free.

its not like they are kicking guests out to move new ones in. and its not like $10 is enough to keep a room empty the night before for you.

MGM Grand has upped their f**king resort fee from $10 to $18! My next Vegas trip I'm seriously considering a Harrah's property.

RESORT FEES SUCK!!

Mirage went from 15 to $20. I called about my July reservation and asked if the fee was factored into the total cost I had on my confirmation, and he said it was, but the add'l $5 increase was not. Told him I reserved before the increase went into effect and he said they were still charging it.

Said that was wrong and cancelled my reservation there on the spot. He couldn't have cared less.

So I booked at the less fancy, but still has a kick-ass pool, at the Flamingo, for about $400 less. That's extra money for a show, food, and gambling. don't like Harrah's casinos, but I can deal with it. so long, MGM. you can take your new "M Life" program and shove it...

Seriously, this falls in the Resort fee catergory. Just say No.

The amusing part to me is that they state that these fees will be charged only at Check In. To me, that reads, 'If we have a room available for you early, we will give it to you for an extra $20 if you checked the box. If you didn't check the box, we will probably give it to you anyway.'
