Host experiences range from great to useless.
But it wouldn't hurt to check in with one on the second or third day so he/she can see you have serious play, and possibly comp off some expenses you incur (meals charged to the room, etc.).
If you haven't already booked your trip, call Aria, ask to speak to a Slot Host, have the offer in hand, tell him you have this offer and would he like to book it for you?
If the Host you meet, or talk to on the phone, doesn't impress, don't worry about it, especially if you keep getting comp offers.
You probably don't need a Host, but when they are good, and you have reasonably strong play, they can add in other things, better room, comp off some expenses, etc.
But don't fall into the trap of playing more than you normally would just to impress a Host, especially one who doesn't add anything to your stay.
Good luck on your trip!
