hotel stays thru MyVegas

My husband and I have redeemed 3 different MyVegas rewards for hotel stays in Vegas this September. Has anyone redeemed and used their LPs for hotel stays? If so, what was your experience like? I'm still afraid we'll get there and something will happen and we won't have rooms to stay in!

We redeemed points for a 2 night stay at the Mirage in March. Everything went like clockwork. They had the reservation and the room was gorgeous! I redeemed 4 rewards and every one of them except the one for cocktails at Lily at the Bellagio went very smooth. That one didn't because of the NCAA basketball tourny. You could only get in by reservation only and they had no reservations. I sent an email and I got my poiints back.

I'm looking to do the same thing at the Mirage in Feb. The Rewards tab lists "Comp Room Bonus Night", and the site has a calendar of "bonus nights" that are right along with when we want to go. I kinda assumed you would have to buy one night and redeem the freebie for one night. Did you stay two nights with just Rewards or did you pay for one. Thanks, JP

In my case, my husband and I both play My Vegas and each redeemed an award for one night in a Tower Suite at the Mirage. When we called to book the nights, the My Vegas people linked our reservations so we don't have to change rooms.

We did the same thing in March. Hubby got the 2 night stay in the Tower suite and I got 1 night. They were combined at check in with no problems. We did not pay for any nights and had no problems with redeeming.
