How do you like the Mandalay Bay?

I have always wanted to stay there and I finally am. Thanks to LVA's awesome discount room rates.
The hotel is huge and beautiful. Never been in any of the rooms though. I got the 550DR room.
The Casino is amazing inside. The rooms are large with comfortable beds, ceiling to floor windows, and one of the best bathrooms in Vegas. Mandalay Bay is near the top of my list of rooms.

I would ignore the reviews that are posted online. I hope you enjoy your room.

Big fan of Mandalay Bay. Awesome resort, awesome dining choices, awesome beach.

Not a fan of the $20+/day resort fee.
That's where we are staying on our next trip also. Never stayed there before. I don't care about the resort fee because it takes care of internet charges and I have a husband who would rather play on the internet than gamble.

I hope they still use those delightful sea salt scrub round large soaps... the bathroom is generous- hallways L-O-N-G. wear your best walking shoes.
Been there/over it/ it's a resort, not for real serious players; tourists (NTTATWWT) and there's a nice sushi place right in the middle of the casino floor.
Their Spa is in my top 5.
Tram rocks too.
Well, my "review" is based on a stay there years ago. It was so bad that I bring it up every 3 or 4
years. LOL

My negative feelings were based mainly on the people working there.

They are probably all gone by now.

I liked the hotel itself.

I'll probably stay there again.

It's got new owners now that MGM runs it.
We just stayed there for the second time. This time we stayed in THEhotel, which was really great. The suite was very nice, separate bedroom and 2 baths. Quiet, tranquil place.

Had good luck in the casino. We play blackjack mostly. Of course the VP stinks!

Best place we ate was Stripsteak. The steaks were awesome, and ambiance very nice, exceptional service. I told them it was my husband's birthday when I made the reservation, and they recognized the occasion with a card on the table and a complementary dessert. We had such a good time.

The pool is huge of course, and we liked the lagoon pools as the wave pool was crowded.

Anyway, as I have been a member for so long, thought I might try to contribute in a small way. Thanks to all of you who have steered us in the right directions over the past several years!

Good luck to all
Thanks for the great info everyone. More experiences are welcome here

I have been there, just to walk around, but never actually stayed in their rooms. I usually take the time and go to the resteraunt called "THE Mix" at the top of THE hotel. That resteraunt is amazing, with excellent food. Can't wait to go back to Vegas!!
Funny story:
Went to a medical meeting at Four Seasons.
Paid the difference from employeer per diem just to stay there once.
Fabulous fabulous room...but I digress.

Friend got a room at MB. He is afraid of high floors. (FS is all high floors).
When he asked for a low floor the desk clerk was like shocked.
I said do you have something with a pool view for him? She said "sure do."
He said "great, I can watch some chicks". We all laughed.

The room was...OK, nice, nothing outstanding. But...
The view was a concrete enclosure with a puddle of water from the AC unit.
And...you guessed it...some bird feathers in the water.
A pool view with chicks!
We laughed.
I begged him to call for a better room, but he didn't really care.

So...ask for a high floor!
Great story Candy! LOL You get what you ask for!!!

Isn't......... THE Mandalay Bay, near The Black Sea?
