Thx for all the info & details on NYNY. Whew! I'd almost convinced myself it might not be so bad to stay there in order to cash in on the FP.

I'm rethinking possibilities & am now considering the double booking feature I've cashed in on in the past. My only problem is the new M-life system. I'm a tad worried that it could backfire & seriously effect future comps. Any thoughts on this?

T, I had no problems with Mlife. It worked the same as the old card.
I guess you see more at the slot/vp machines as far as comps/credits, etc.
I don't play machines very often so it does not affect me.

I'm staying at Aria next trip and the comps look the same as in the past.

The only difference I can see myself is they designate your level of play by the card's color. LOL
It almost seems like NYNY tries to piss comped gamblers off. I have stayed at every MGM property in Vegas and had two problems both at NYNY.
What were those problems?
Thought all the MGM properties charged a resort fee even when comped.

Nope. I've stayed comped at Mirage, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay and not been charged a resort fee.
I've stayed a number of times at NYNY without being charged a resort fee.
These little town blues, are melting away, I’ll make a brand new start of it - in old .................................. MGM

Nope. I have a two-night comp at MB, and when I called, the host told me no resort fee on those days, but there would be a fee on the other 5 nights.
" but there would be a fee on the other 5 nights. "

russgrad............what do you mean? Are you staying there 7 nights total, and only comped 2 ?

If thats the case, then like Mare & others mentioned, Comp nites - No resort fee.
But Yes, resort fee on Nights you are Paying for.

Not at all MGM properties. I was just charged a resort fee of $22.40 at Hotel 32 (Monte Carlo) on a comped room.
