M life debut tomorrow

The quality of my offers went down - from one comp night to "20% off 2 nights". WTF??? Plus, it's too much like Total Rewards. Although you earn points faster with MGM than TR, the MGM points don't appear to get you much.
I agree, not impressed at all. There is very little motivation to move up to tiers. No lounges, limo access, etc. I don't see the point of tiers.
Here's the only point of tiers that I can see:

Sapphire or Pearl cardholder:
$10k coin in on video poker will get you $10 in Point Play and $20 in Express Comps for a total of $30.
$10k coin in on slots will get you $50 in Point Play and $100 in Express Comps for a total of $150.

Gold cardholder:
$10k coin in on video poker will get you $11.42 in Point Play and $22.84 in Express Comps for a total of $34.26.
$10k coin in on slots will get you $57.14 in Point Play and $114.28 in Express Comps for a total of $171.42.

Platinum cardholder:
$10k coin in on video poker will get you $13.33 in Point Play and $26.66 in Express Comps for a total of $39.99.
$10k coin in on slots will get you $66.66 in Point Play and $133.32 in Express Comps for a total of $199.98.

As a video poker player, I have to say this is a lot better than what I just got for my play at Harrah's Las Vegas last Saturday. I did 4,825 tier points ($48,250 coin in) and only got 2,943 bonus reward credits for a total of $77.68 in comps earned. For that same play at an MGM Resorts property I would have received $64.33 in Point Play and $128.66 in Express Comps for a total of $192.99. (And I was not playing a low volatility VP game at Harrah's -- DDB, TDB, and TB+.)

At this point, I'm not happy with either of them, but we'll see how it plays out in the long run.

Yep, had 38 offers. But got some freebies at places I have never walked into. Lost one to Monte Carlo that I wanted to use---guess I will call.

Lost several, and some that even have the blue "more info" button on the Mlife will not let me book. I emailed Mlife, and got the run around in an email response--but they did respond very quickly.

Like you, I'm sure I can call the facility, or host and still book. Just not what I wanted to see or do.

I hope the bugs get worked out, and we can get back to normal.

Got my new Mlife Gold card in the mail today. Checked online - my 38 offers turned into about 20 on the new website.

I'll still use their offers to stay on the strip - but I can't see that this change is going to increase the business I give to MGM.
Well, I got my Platinum card yesterday along with a little booklet
welcoming me to the new set-up. LOL

Point Play and Express Comps are all Greek to me.

I'll just continue to play as I always have and go by what they send me via
mailers and emails.

I like things simple.

Just call me Simon.

Thanks for the "dollars and cents" explanation, Mare. Mlife is better than Total Rewards...but that isn't too hard to accomplish.

Me too, Simon...LOL
I'm happy they didn't dump my point play points from the old system.
I think a much more interesting thing will be what the mail looks like with the new system, especially after a visit or two. Will a VP player that used to earn 4,000 pts still get the same offers with 2,000 pts (which is now about the same coin-in). If they don't then it's a BIG downgrade.
Acording to what Mare calculated... The slot player will be rewarded nice and the VP player can go to the 4 Queens or several other casinos and be appreciated ... Richard from Ca.
