MGM Pool Cabana or Day Bed Rental

I was wondering the typical price of a cabana or day bed at the MGM Grand pool? Our pool day would be a week day (Mon or Tues). I have an email request in with the MGM pool website but I wanted to see what experiences LVA members had with MGM cabanas or beds. I also chose not to post in the pools section because there was only one post there in the last several years. Thanks in advance.

I rented a Cabana last year at MGM on a Friday. The cost was a $450 guaranteed food and beverage purchase. Basically, you order all the food and drinks, up to the $450 level, and you don't pay for the Cabana. If you don't get to the $450 level, you still pay that, so we actually ordered a couple to-go meals to take back to the room. There is also a service charge (don't remember the amount) plus the server will expect an additional tip...and ours earned it. We had two couples and a couple of teenagers, so it was well worth it for us to split that....and have a place to enjoy without fighting the crowds, and have the fridge stocked when we got out of the pool. Make a full day of it, to get your money's worth.

I did receive a response to my own question and much like the response here it is a minimum charge of $400 plus an 18% gratuity. It's based on food and beverage orders. The only other options are more expensive cabanas probably based on location. This is a far cry from the $150 minimum charge at the Palms last summer. Of course the MGM pool scene is more of a grand spectacle. Looks like just regular chairs for my wife and I. The $400 is better wagered in a casino, spent on food or a show. No response was given to the cost of a day bed.
