Minus 5" bar

Has anyone been to the minus 5 degree bar in the Monte Carlo?

I will be visiting in Feb and I have heard about this place before.

I did with my girl and 4 of our 20-something children. I'd never do it again! Its a rip off (IMHO). But then I needed my head examined for paying nearly $100.00 to sit in a cold room and I live in Buffalo (where tonite the windchill is -7).
If you live in the desert it might be novel - otherwise save your money!
Going in 4 weeks. Thought it was too expensive, but Groupon had a deal for admission and one drink for $15. That was a price I could try it for....

My wife, a mutual friend of our and I looked into it one time. We couldn't believe what they were charging for the novelty of it. We passed!
Best “Yardstick” Drink: Minus 5 Ice Bar is at Mandalay Bay & Monte Carlo
One of the things that tourists do in Vegas is drink “Yardsticks” these are drinks in many different containers like a football, guitar, and and classic “Yardstick”. Most of the time you will pay about $15 for about a 40 oz drink that has virtually no alcohol in it. This bar is the exception. They have an Ice Bar but you can walk in and out buying just a yardstick. For $15 or so you can get the 50 oz with 5 shots and add an additional shot for $6 (recommended). These come in Margarita, Piña Colada and other flavors. These yardsticks are reasonably priced and pack a punch compared to other places on the strip. That is of course you like these type of things....
My wife and I did the one at Mandalay Bay and it was a great experience. I used a reward earned from playing MyVegas on Facebook so the whole experience only cost us $20. We wore the fur coats and had our drinks and left, maybe 10/15 minutes in all. Of course if I had to pay I probably wouldn't have done it
DUMB - Especially if you're from Wisconsin. Pass.
