Mirage rooms

We received a good rate for the Mirage in March. We've never stayed there and were wondering what people's opinions were of the rooms, amenities, etc.? Any info is most appreciated.
The Mirage is one of my favorite places to stay and play. The rooms are still fresh from a renovation, they are modern and tasteful with large flat screen TVs and iPod connection. The wifi is weak in some rooms, carry a cable. Deluxe rooms have tub/shower combos, Tower Deluxe has separate tub and showers. Rooms are relatively quiet, like other places rooms away from the elevators are quieter, rooms near the elevators are more convenient. Views are either of the pool or Strip, looking down into the volcano during the show is fun.

Mirage is a an excellent place to play BJ at $25 and above, during midweek there are playable tables for less. VP and slot play is poor. The pool is excellent, Cravings is near the top for buffets (be sure to use the MRB 241s), Burger Bar is great. I like the atmosphere of Mirage, it is popular with Europeans and less popular with the fanny-pack-stroller-tourist crowd. Location and parking is good.

Mirage is expensive if you pay retail but with your good offer I highly recommend it.
Love it! Nice rooms, great pool, decent gambling, some of the best "medium" priced restaurants on the Strip, and I can get pretty hammered there as the cocktail waitresses are pretty good.

I'll be staying there again in just 2 weeks.

I received a good rate for early Dec. I have upgraded to Tower Deluxe for 2 nights before moving to Orleans for 3 more nights. I have never stayed at the Mirage, but always have wanted to.

This is our annual trip during NFR, Marathon and Santa Run. I am a retired track coach--so enjoy the opportunity to watch races.

I am pleased with the recent "good" reviews the casino/hotel. I guess I'll save the VP for the Orleans--

I am a big fan of the Mirage. I most always stay there and look forward to a visit in late December. The rooms are real nice since the renovation. One complaint has always been the smallish bathrooms for the standard rooms. If you are lucky enough to get an upgrade to the tower deluxe rooms on 24 and 25 it will take care of that. I personally don't mind the bathrooms. As far as the casino goes I really like the size. It is not overwhelming and they have several 2-deck blackjack tables for me. They have a great variety of restaurants. I especially like the steak place Kokomos and the burger place BLT. Enjoy!
Thanks for all the great info. We've booked for the first 2 nights of our stay in March!
Welcome to the board Illiniwek!

And thanks for giving the correct name for BLT, one of the best burgers in Vegas.
Can anyone give an update on the Mirage rooms. These are from 2010. I'm doing some of their things from MyVegas, so if I'm going to gamble there it would be for comped rooms. I stay at the Palazzo... what's the current comparison? Thanks!
Palazzo rooms are much, much better, but for free, Mirage rooms are still pretty damn nice. If you can get it for free, it's a no-brainer.
