Monte Carlo?

Has anyone stayed at the Monte Carlo recently? We need to book a strip room for a Friday & Saturday in September and were wondering how MC is (rooms, food, atmosphere). Any info would be very helpful.
We stayed there this past October and a couple of times in years past.

It's not bad but not as good as I had remembered from previous trips.
Decent for the money. The room just wasn't as plush as I am used to (just coming from the Mirage didn't help!).

I really like that the food court & the pool are located right by the hotel elevators. (Hate walking ALL the way thru casino in a wet bathing suit).

Also really liked the tram to City Center, Aria, etc. Very handy.
Good position on the strip, not too far south.

It's not Bellagio but a nice decent base for a Vegas trip.
We have stayed at the MC several times and have found the rooms to nice and beds comfy. Never had to wait to long for an elevator. As far as strip view the hotel towers sit back off the strip so you get a view of a whole lot of casino roof. Enjoyed the pool/mountain view better. Easy to get around and the tram to the Bellagio is handy.

The casino is a quiet compared to other strip casinos. Found drink service to be good. During the day table limits are low.

Ate at the steak house from the price fixe menu, had the prime rib and it was pretty good. Food court is handy for a quick bite or to grab a coffee.

You don't hear much about the pool complex but its pretty good. There is a wave pool, regular pool and lazy river. Drink service is good.

All in all its a nice place to stay. Staff has always been helpful and nice. Easy to navigate and get around. With some of the current offers its a good value.
My girlfriend and I stayed there for two days just last Wednesday & Thursday. We loved it! Hotel was very clean as was our room. The beds were very comfortable and the strip view was really nice. I had booked the Strip View room. I have a trip review if you look in the free for all section of the forum. Piece of advice, don't eat at the Subway Sandwhich there, my girlfriend and I got sick.
