monte carlo spa upgrade offer

i have a 5 night stay booked at monte carlo dec 21-26. today i received an email say i'd been "selected" to receive an offer to upgrade to a spa suite for $49/night.

initially i thought i'd be getting a suite for that rate, but the more i read the wording, i think they're saying it would cost $49 MORE than the rate i'm paying for my deluxe room.

can anyone tell me if i'm right?

I've gotten a similar email from Bellagio, and it basically meant what you stated: I would get a suite if I paid additional $$$. Since I had extensively researched the room options for fountain view rooms, I decided to stick with what I already booked - which was an awesome room with a perfect fountain view! Once I could check things out in person, I could tell the suite would not have had as nice of a view, so I was glad I held tight.
