Platinum access to Mandalay HOB Foundation Room

Has anyone used their MLife Platinum Card to access the HOB Foundation Room at Mandalay?

Is it as easy as showing your card and getting on the elevator? How many people will they allow on one card?

A non-Mandalay host indicated to me that "you really should be staying at Mandalay to ensure that a host can guarantee entry". Really?

An insite on this topic would be appreciated.

I have used my Gold Card for access to Tabu and 54 a couple of months ago.... just flash the Doorman your card and they will let you in without cover... You also do not need to stand in line... so go to the front.

This works for all MGM lounges/clubs.... its a decent comp since they charge around $30 cover per person.
