Shark Reef---is it worth seeing?

Has anyone been to the Shark Reef Aquariam? If so, what are your thoughts?

Saw it twice. Maybe 5 years apart. 1st time seemed fine or I guess we wouldn't have gone back. 2nd time I wondered why I had paid to see it but that was after seeing national aquarium in Baltimore. I think it is kind of dank and musty.

Actually, we hated the national aquarium in Baltimore. What a confusing mess (and noisy) to get around. Wish we had that money back.

Anyway, the Shark Reef at MB is OK. It is pleasantly quiet, dark and cool, easy navigation, enough displays of interest, relaxing time.
As for the cost, I always think of what I would have probably lost in the casino for that period of time. Shark Reef comes out way ahead on that.

If you just want to see a lot of pretty fish, see the fish tank in the Forum Shops. This is free.
And it used to be you could buy a 'tour' with the fish feeders, see how they do it, etc. Don't know if this is still available. Never did it.

The key to Baltimore Aquarium is buying tickets way in advance and getting the 1st time slot in the morning on a weekday. They actually let us in 20 mins. early and we're more than halfway through all the exhibits before any crowds started catching up with us. I think I'd hate it also in a crush of humanity and kids running amok.

Wouldn't even gone to see it if the gov't hadn't shut down that week, the week of our family reunion in...Baltimore!

Making the DC attractions, my big reason for attending the reunion at all, off limits. Ah, the best laid plans.
