What is this? A new offer from Aria! Huh

Last Feb wife and I attended vegas during the super bowl. We stopped and played quite a bit at the Cosmo for 2 days and 1 pretty good day at Aria. After receiving steady offers from MGM prior, I have not gotten anything in a year. "why shut my mouth" in the mail yesterday we received an invitation for 2 free nights- $50 in free play-2 complimentary tixs to Cirque Soleil and 2 for 1 dining at the buffet.
Offers runs until March 29th.
Must be trying to fill in some open days for the next 2 months but I was somewhat surprised. I just had my knee replaced last monday in Denver and do have some time to burn while recovering. Might have to see if this is gonna work.
we like the aria-there some triple play 8/5 BP machines outside of the high limit area, a pretty decent buffet and very comfortable rooms after you figure out the remote that runs everything in the room. I find the restaurants pricey so tend to use our food comps at the buffet, pastry/ice cream place or cafe.
We find the beds among the best we've slept in in Vegas.

I will be interested in your opinion.

Despite play at the Cosmo, we have not received any offers.

The last time I played at an MGM casino was December 25, 2012 and I maybe put through $300. But the gaming gods are smiling on me because I, too, received the flyer with $100 free play vs $50. I cancelled Aliante (which I originally booked for a concert there, but it was sold out) and am so excited to go to Aria. I think the gas money I save not driving clear up north will pay for that other buffet.
I can't wait for my room to gently wake me up!!!

I like people who make bets into the future!

My next visit is a comped stay at Aria in a one-bedroom corner suite.

However, I notice they have cut my food and free play comps down 50%.

Yes, the rooms and bed are excellent.

BTW, I heard they have several progressives
going at a big pay-off as of about 10 days ago.

Worth a look for those staying there soon.

Hey, I'll put a 10 spot in. LOL

Hey Quadruple j! Thanks so much for pointing out my error. 2010 was what I meant to type. I'm glad you had the extra time to repost my mistake in your quote, as well.
Relax jhawkgirl. jjjjjjjjjjjj was being funny.

I got the same Comp offer as above, with the $100 FP, 2 Elvis tix (isn't that show ending soon? lol)

And since Aria doesn't charge Resort fee with Comp stays.......I would definately stay there again.

The funny thing........I've played much more heavily at Other MGM props, and yet, and ONLY seem
to get Comp stays at Aria. weird. But I'll take it.

Sorry, it's just that as a former English Teacher I could correct many posts--too many to count--but I didn't think that was the point here. But enough about me and my grouchy response. There was some weird fine print on the Aria offer about using your player's club points at check out and I wondered if that meant they were actually "charging" for the comp and you had to give up points to use it. But I called and they said everything was just as stated--no strings--because of past MGM properties play. Which of course I haven't done yet, since it is not December 2012. LOL I must have played more than I thought in the last few years at Bellagio. Do you know how long the points stay on the card?

You mentioned they don't charge the resort fee but do you still have to pay the $30 spa entrance fee if you don't have a treatment??? I am dying to go to the spa and will pay if I have to, but a freebie would be nice.

I think, especially because of the free tix to Elvis, that Aria must really be hurting and since the show is not doing well they are trying to get some cheeks in seats.

Again sorry to jjjj21 for being grouchy. Thanks for calling me on it, C Loves V.
No prob jhawkgirl.

Hey, I just posted this on another thread.......but just checked my MGM (I refuse to call it stupid MLife)
and my Express Comps have been Zeroed Out!!!

I was hoping it was a website error.........but after reading this Fine print crap, I'm beginning to
think they did it on purpose.

I asked about Resort fee when I checked in, and they Didn't charge me any resort fee on 2 nite Comp stay.

But if they Zero out your express comp balance instead? And don't tell you?
I'm done with Aria, the location is just not convenient . The beds and modern amenities are nice but the trek to another casino or strip sucks.

I think the buffet was mediocre at best.

I also had a huge problem at check in, which was not cool. I had to trek all the way to the players club, with bags, to talk to a host. In hindsight I should've asked the check in person to call someone, she wasn't pleasant.

Funny thing I'm getting great offers from Bellagio, but Harrahs has stepped up their game and I will be staying in a suite at Paris or PHo next trip.
Erin, I agree with you about getting out of Aria is a lot of trouble.

I walked out once and once was enough.

If you go on a comp use the VIP desk over on the right of the regular check-ins.
It's maybe 100-or-so feet away.

Every time I have been there it's almost always empty.

Their buffet is overpriced but free is free. LOL

I think they offer rooms there over other MGM props because they need to fill the place
more than the others.

Anyway, that's my guess.

Hey, I recently got offers from HR with tickets to Motley Crew and I have not been in there for a loooong time. LOL

Also, got a TI invite to play in a Texas Hold-Em Tourny with a 1st prize of $50,000.

However, it's not in real money but player's chips that says "Use them 'til you lose 'em."
They are including free rooms and such comp but it's in mid-April and that's too far away to even consider.

CLV, I know they (Aria/MGM) do not take out your express comps from what they offer you on an invitation.

They do it if you partake in extras like
restaurants and shows that are not in the original invitation.

Watch your TV screen for what they do charge you for.

Every time I check my account there it always
has things that I did not do. LOL

Jhawkgirl (Kansas, right? LOL)

Seems like I played against a Kansas basketball player named Gardener about a century ago.

Hey, sorry I mentioned your date mix-up.

On another note:

Hey, I hear Billy C. did not get good reviews
this time around. LOL

I predict you won't see him next year.

I still think Bob H. did them the best.
