Back adter 10 years - how often do these get replenished?

Been off the forum for 10 years - planning a two week Vegas trip in August (first in 10 years) - all that I want on the site is "Sold Out" - is that the usual?

My rooms are all comped at Caesars and Golden Nugget - I have to pay (they say casino rate) at Venetian (mid-week 169/129/129) - anyone have a host there? Wife and I are separately Diamond at Caesars and Elite at Golden Nugget....

Have over 2 million credits, haven't used any before.

Any help would be appreciated. It looks like shows are the best to use them on.

Welcome back! As you can probably tell, these forums aren't nearly as active as they used to be.

I've been on MyVegas for a few years now and have redeemed for lots of stuff. They used to restock the rewards at a specific time every morning, but now they restock throughout the day. Some rewards don't get restocked until a new "batch" of rewards is released. You'll probably still have better luck getting the rewards you desire by redeeming in the morning.

I agree that the shows are the best use of your points. I've redeemed for Zarkana tickets and KA tickets. We didn't care for Zarkana, but KA was excellent! The KA stage goes from horizontal to vertical several times during the show - some of the action is OMG breathtaking!

If not staying at an MGM property, you'll pay a premium for some of the rewards, but with 2 million points you really don't have to worry about that. I've used the Bellagio lunch buffet for 2 several times and the buffet is always great.

If you have a car, you might consider a stay at Red Rock and some of their dining or buffet rewards. The Stations rewards are considered separate, so they don't count towards the maximum number of rewards you are generally limited to getting from MGM properties.

You'd probably get a few more responses on another message board. I really like VegasMessageBoard.com - many of the people who used to post here, post there now.
