No repeat in Purchase of myVegas rewards?

I had "purchased" a 241 Mirage Breakfast Buffet a few months ago.
I tried to "purchase" another one to use on my trip last week and
I was denied--due to previous purchase! WHAT???? So if you're
thinking of buying and using a reward--be SURE you want to do so--
because you can't "buy" it again. . . . Bummer. . . . but I guess
you can't look a gift horse in the mouth. . . .
Actually, they'll let folks purchase the same reward again--there's just an unknown time period that needs to lapse between purchases. Someone said it's when a new batch of rewards is given from the casino to MyVegas. I used the Bellagio buffet last May and was able to book it again last November for my next trip.
Oh goodie! Thanks--I'll watch for it. . . .
This is true, usually every few months I can re use the same comp. Points tend to go up when they get re allocated.

Going through it right now as I have a trip Monday and it is not letting me re book any of my usual's and it has been over two months! Hoping they open up soon!

There are two limits. The first is "3 in 30" which doesn't let you USE more than 3 rewards in a 30 day span (there are exceptions to this for those who paid for some chips).

Some rewards also have a 1 per player limit (lifetime limit). Go to the game. click the rewards tab. Open a reward (for example, Aria Complimentary buffet for 1). Click "next" and you'll see "Purchase and Usage Limitations" where it says in the second paragraph. This reward is limited to 1 per myVegas player. That's not "at a time" -- that's in your lifetime.

That 1 per player means you can only purchase one of those in your lifetime. You cannot get another. There have been exceptions, such as when terms and prices change. Some rooms now allow you to have 3. All the full food comps I've used only allow you to buy 1.

You can see which rewards you have used on one of the tabs on the rewards page.

From what I have read and experienced, there is not a unknown time after which you can purchase the same award twice. Yes, I have seen the "batch" term used. But the only time a "batch" changes is when the award changes (more points needed, different terms).

In your case, the Bellagio buffet (I had the same award in the same time frame) was changed after last May to require more points. As far as MyVegas goes, they view it as a different award. So, its not really a different batch. Now that they are changing some awards to require a hotel stay, it is quite possible that for those awards, you can redeem another, since they might be different awards in MyVegas's view.

Maybe in the first year that batch concept was true, but now, I don't see any mention on anyone booking the same award for the SAME POINTS as their prior award. People should only expect to get a particular award once in their MyVegas "career".
Interesting. My wife got the $50 Monte Carlo credit back in January and we can't get it again for our October trip.
A friend just emailed me that you need to really read the rules on coupons as of late. Some are requiring a stay. The example he used was Aria buffet coupon. I ordering a few tomorrow and will read them before I purchase.
Yep, you need to read the conditions. If they say limit to 1, then you can only get 1. Ever. And Terms and Conditions are now requiring a stay on some buffets. For Mandalay Bay, they have two different Rewards. One requires a stay, one does not. The one that does not costs twice as much.
I used the Aria lunch buffet back in December and they allowed me to scoop up another for next month. I'm figuring the time limitation must be at least 6 months between (or more) when permitted
