Certainly see the reasoning and some support to play Overs in the so-called Bracket Buster games.
The combatants will be out to dictate the pace _ St. Mary's wanting to play a faster tempo, while Utah State will be aiming to grind it out, play defense and create longer possessions on both ends.
With McConnell and company, St. Mary's is a proficient 3-point shooting team. Utah State, however, historically has ranked high statistically in 3-point defense and this year is no exception (allow just 30.5 percent on 3-pointers).
The Aggies also rank among the nation's Top 10 in effective defensive field goal percentage at 43.8 percent.
When the pointspread is relatively tight and a slower-paced team is fully committed to imposing its will on the faster-minded opposition, I tend to side with the pace tilting in their direction.
Good luck to all and thanks for the responses,
Paul
