too many points to give this gaels team right now.while i respect what siena is doing currently 9 points is a solid take with the better defensive team that shoots it better from ft line and 3 pt line as well...iona comes in with 8 straight wins and in those 8 the most they have given up is 59 points...that just can not be ignored and in 4 of these 8 they held the opponent under 50 points!...teams met back on dec 7th and siena shot lights out in a 13 pt win...iona's current defensive form will not allow that again.this is the top 2 teams in the maac and i see a tight game coming to the final minute or so....+9 here is a gift.

hornets come out with urgency in this spot and 1st half is the way to go...new orleans is closing out a 3 game homestand trying to avoid losses in all 3 and losing 4 in a row at home for the 1st time in years...common theme in these home losses is falling behind in 1st or 2nd qtr and without chris paul the uphill climb is wearing the hornets down...it has been harped on the last few days and i think we get a sharp focused 1st half from this team tonight and a halftime lead....16-7 home team that's been punched in the chin last 3 times out on the home floor shows some pride vs the visitor from the weaker conference that has been down at half more times than not when playing at western conf.teams...hornets 1ST HALF -1 is a solid play.
