getting the better basketball team here at a decent number...that 10 pt loss saturday at purdue was a 1 pt game with 3:45 left and i thought the illini showed well in that spot in a tough environment...now they are stepping down in class tonight facing a michigan team who in it's last 4 HOME games has scored 51,44,60 and 56...illinois gets much better balance having 4 guys avg double figure scoring as opposed to michigan who has been relying way too heavily on harris and sims....illini are more efficient offensively,a better rebounding team,shoot a better % from the field and shoot it better from 3 pt range...illinois also with a winning road record this year at 5-4 including a win in madison 2 weeks ago so they are more than capable...the illini a better team catching points here becuase michigan seems more "desperate" for a big win but illinois +3 is the side.

sacramento back home after a 3 game road trip that was a disaster losing all 3 by double digits and they are defending nobody...the kings are 4-22 in their last 26 and come in the favorite tonight vs a piston team that plays much better defensively and is confident off a nice win over san antonio sunday night...detroit starts a 4 game western trip here tonight and they know this is a winnable game to get them off on the right foot...in addition to this just 13 days ago pistons suffered a home loss to this kings team that came in to that game 4-22 on the road...piston players talked of being embarrassed and of how they gave the game away...we are going to get a focused detroit team kicking off a road trip and in better form as a dog vs a team that is falling apart.
